Dreadful first half, thought we were on to a real hiding and Villa could have been out of sight.

Glad to hear OC gave them a rollocking at half-time and it certainly showed, even allowing for nobody tracking back with Warnock for their goal, it was a terrific response to level so quickly and the build up play for N'Gog's goal was absolutely terrific. Didn't really have too many of the customary hairy moments near the end either which made a pleasant change.

Still plenty of work to be done, but Saturday's result/performance doesn't seem anywhere near as bad with 4 points from 6. Still in our hands.

Just seen Coyle's post match interview on BBC - did he actually say he gave the players a 'bollocking' or is my hearing ?

The team & Coyle need to kick on now - hopefully this win will give them a lot of confidence and perhaps Coyle has learned that being
tougher with them, instead of being their mates is the way forward.

Four out of six is job done so far. We just made bloody hard work of it. Really impressed with the character of the lads again, especially the back 5 who were immense.

Looking at the table - you don't really 'do' draws, do you? You've won more then all your relegation rivals this season but you have also lost more...

Nope - don't really do draws at all. Nearly didn't do one at weekend. :-)

this thread resembles most of those on here over the last few months, swap McLeish for Coyle. Fair play to OC tonight though, he realised there needed to be a change and he had the guts to do that.

Stuck in hotel room in London biting everything that could be bitten (well almost) whilst my lad, my nephew and my brother cheered the boys to victory, so proud (and relieved) tonight!!!!

Awful 1st half though - good battling 2nd half performance, back 4 looked better and Eagles actually had a very decent game. Let's hope they've woken up and realised that they need to fight & battle and I thought it was reasonably comfortable in the end.

I didn't think that this side had it in them - perhaps they do actually have some fighting spirit in them after all, an away win at Villa is always sweet - when they chase and press and show the right attitude formation doesn't really come into it - this result has really dragged Villa into it.

Well done OC & all of the players - lets not waste this result - 2 more wins will keep us up !

Am guessing not as he's not been in touch the past few days that he's been down there. Am sure he will spy when he gets back if you ask him nicely ;)

I have said all along I believe we will stay up.. i still think we will but have been surprised at how many fans have had us doomed because we lost to a good Fulham side who beat world beaters Wigan last week and drew with a Swansea side who can pass Arsenal into the floor..

We have got something like 13 points from the last 18.. good form for a side down the bottom end. Just because we haven't been beating the likes of Man u people doesn't mean we are shite etc.. points are points at the end of the day no matter who you take them off.

I just hope the win tonight gives a few fans a kick up the arse and everyone unites and gets behind the team in the last few games.

To be fair and balanced.... we were unremittingly, ass clenchingly, sweaty armpit inducing shite in the first half.
