Fingers crossed, some movement today anyway.
We have signed Tuncay. He can't play against QPR work permit sorted next week.

We won't be signing anyone else before QPR and SWP is very unlikely now full stop.

Yeah I don't know where 'very unlikely' has come from. As far as everyone is aware they're sorting out the wages, but his end are holding out for more. Isn't that pretty much always the case anyways? Contract negotiations are never straight forward.

Nowt, but you are just seeing headlines based on Coyle saying we are interested.

According to Nixon, Stoke offering him more than we will and Wigan offering more than both at 50K a week. SWP has to take a drop in wages to go anywhere, we would be the biggest drop. And he may decide to hang around at City and fight for his place. OC said last night that the club have talked terms with agents but not been given chance to speak to SWP direct and that hasn't changed today according to Nixon. Things can and will change but looks unlikely right now.

NGog seemed more likely this morning but Nixon seems to be saying that we are messing around with that and haven't progressed it at all!

If SWP wants to go else where because they will pay him more then let him. We've signed Tuncay today and I'm chuffed to bits.
Pfffft.

That's just small thread mentality.

Not impossibly brilliant thread mentality.

For all that's happened we're still short on firepower from this thread.

Most the tweets seem to be around hold ups in the N'Gog deal. Nixon also seems to be in some sort of mood today but probably personal and tbh i couldn't give a fook. For those who don't have twitter here's a little update..
JayJay2345 Jay
@reluctantnicko Are you saying it is our end stalling rather than Liverpools? Are we switching targets or just settling for Tuncay?

reluctantnicko Alan Nixon
@JayJay2345 Don't go there. Far from happy.
Samtheman687
@reluctantnicko liverpool want 5 we're offering 4. Is that right?

@Samtheman687 Not offered yet today as far as I know
@reluctantnicko are we discussing personal terms with ngog?

@SeannB Not agreed a fee yet. #nothappy

also

@SeannB More concerned about Ngog just now. Swp terms need to come.
Can't understand why Nixon, despite being a friend of Owen, would take any issue with our transfer targets so seriously. Maybe he just isn't getting the info he needs or as I said earlier could be something totally unrelated to the club in his personal/working life.

p.s sorry if its all abit messy *halo*

He's right though, would we want SWP if it's all about money? Get the feeling the fact that we've only had the chance to speak to his agent is putting Owen off a bit. Certainly as much was hinted last night!

He was always like that when he was on BRFCS same with Rovers, think he genuinely cares about the clubs he reports on and hates them being slow to move in the market.

He did say however that there's room for 'quite a few wages' at the club.

Yes he's right. If SWP won't even talk with us then good luck to him elsewhere.

(But it's still small thread mentality)

What is the purpose of the hash mark before phrases on twitter?

eg #nothappy from above.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

It's all to do with "trending" I think.

Is the deal subject to work permit ? And is it assured work permit will be granted ?
I don't think he's an EEC citizan, and though he's played here before, does he fit the criteria ? enough caps etc?
I don't know the answers. Does Anyone else ?

Reading those tweets, he's probably being a bit moody and cryptic because he doesn't really know.

It's a hashtag.

It can help in organising grouped information and allows for trending information to be pulled together about information that shares the same hashtag.
