Our Kid was fuming recently that they wouldn't let him put the 6 month old lass through FOC. £10-er it were. £10-er for her to go and sleep at the game. He won't be paying for a seat at all next year, put it that way
Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
why should she get special treatment - that's what the rest of us do!!hisroyalgingerness wrote:Our Kid was fuming recently that they wouldn't let him put the 6 month old lass through FOC. £10-er it were. £10-er for her to go and sleep at the game. Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
Good news that the club have kept prices low once again although I'm surprised that they have offered interest free instalments and absorbed the VAT rise. A company that lost £100,000 a day in the last financial year should be trying to get as much money in as possible.
But I suppose it shows how shit scared they are of losing the TV revenue in the event that we got relegated. (I.e. Annual income from ticket sales is only around £5m a year so a couple of hundred thousand quid isn't that much compared to the tv revenue which is nearer £50m - lose that and the club is fooked.) Anything which can help us stay up (such as a near capacity crowd at home) is seen as a worthwhile investment if it helps us keep earning the £50m of TV rights.

Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
A week ago I predicted a loss at Blackpool and a draw with Citeh. Although I wouldn't bet a metaphor on that, I stand by it. But you've only won two of the last nine and the last thing your lot need is an afternoon by the river wincing as Mark Hughes's muscular bunch throw themselves at set-pieces...Gooner Girl wrote:Don't have much hope of beating Man City for us then, do you?!

I enjoyed my two seasons in North Lower. If you sit towards the back, say from row Q onwards you can get a decent view, and atmosphere's pretty good. Well, until Megson starts throwing the full backs on

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
Just been sent an FSF survey. 15% of EPL ST holders aren't renewing (or say they aren't). This is a slightly higher churn than any of the three Football League divisions. Highest cancellation rates: West Ham (30%), Man United (28%), Aston Villa (27%), Arsenal (22%); lowest Liverpool (4%).
Some of that might be bluster but the survey also has a basket of goods which shows that the average matchday cost is now £101 - up 18% on last year. That basket includes replica shirts, sales of which will obviously suffer unless the design's a surefire winner. Ah.

I love my seat, it's a great view with top people sat round. Wouldn't swap it for anything.
Spesh for one in the bloody West Stand. Bunch of not-rights

Whilst I get your overall point, I'm confused about this, £101 for an average matchday cost.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Some of that might be bluster but the survey also has a basket of goods which shows that the average matchday cost is now £101 - up 18% on last year. Are they saying that fans are buying a replica shirt at every game i.e 19 shirts a year? Cos if they are that's just nonsense.
Businesswoman of the year.

Nope they were even cut a couple of years back.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Sky report that ST prices have been frozen for six seasons. That true?
I think this year we've had the best value season ticket in the league, maybe with the exception of United's cheapest seat. But then where's the fun in knowing you're going to win every match!?

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
"At the launch of the index in 2006, the match day basket of goods cost £77.95. However the most recent analysis puts the cost at £101.04 - a rise of £23.09 or 30% per match day. Virgin Money’s Football Fans’ Index runs every three months and the firm’s research team examines the cost of items such as a gallon of petrol, match tickets, food, alcohol, train tickets and replica shirts."
It's a "basket of goods", an attempt to cover the whole gamut of life's costs. True, you're unlikely to use both petrol and train ticket, and you won't buy a replica shirt every week – but the surveys are every three months and there's a new home shirt every 12, plus an away shirt per season. Anyway, it's indicative of rising prices rather than the actual matchday cost per se (which would for many of us include kid-costs).
For comparison, the governmental Consumer Price Index doesn't include mortgage repayments, council tax and buildings insurance. 'Cos they aren't going up at all, are they?

But like Bolton you still won nowtGooner Girl wrote:Ah but unlike Bolton we will play in the champions leagueBruce Rioja wrote:"All Arsenal prices do also include seven cup games"
A little presumptious, no? Do they get money back if they get put out early on?so thats 3 definite home games (4 if we have to qualify...) before you even get started on Carling Cup and FA Cup...

My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!
