And you think Mears would have been any better?? Defensively Mears is as bad if not worse than Steinsson... Still a shame for the lad like, but don't let your anti-Steinsson views make you think Mears would have been any better..

It could be argued we have less than that...

My point is that we have options to fill in there. Wheater can do it, NRC can do it, and possibly Connolly but ToM and LL will know better... We have short term cover for a couple of months if Steinsson gets injured...

Right wing?? We have Eagles...
Striker we have possibly Eaves, though if he's to make the grade this year is to be seen...

In short RB is still well down regardless of this news... This aint the end of the world, drink yourself some concrete and toughen the feck up.
No, it isn't the end of the world, but when you consider the amount of players we've now had out long term, it is very reasonable to suggest that Coyle might start being a little less picky in the transfer market...

I agree, but I'm not too certain that will happen.

Why, who has he turned down so far?

So, as long term absentees, I make it...

Lee
Mears
Davis
Ricketts
Holden

Are we turning in to Spurs or something?

I realise now why Sam kept the ball in the air, and Megson set out our team never to have it.

I don't think Savis and Ricketts are now long-term... (even Holden is supposed to be back in september - though I'll believe that when i see it..)

Ricketts doesn't now appear in the PhysioRoom lists...
Savis is back in light training...

we'll be OK!

These things happen. Sadly they also tend to happen in bursts. With a bit of luck Mears won't be too bad and will come back before Christmas. Fingers crossed. Around that time we could get a decent injection of players back with Ricketts and Holden aswell with luck.

Think we are getting to the point where we can't afford to let Cahill go until we have bought a replacement. Our only back four cover is a left back who will be locked up before season is out and Wheater.

Both Ricketts and Sean Davis are back in light training - at the same stage as Stu, so expect neither to be in the first team for at least a couple of months.

Is rickets even back in light training? Last I heard they were talking September for that sort of the thing.

Yes, they're not doing any ball-work at this point though, same as Stu ( )

Overly aggressive? Zat Knight?

The bloke couldn't show aggression if I fingered his sister in front of him.. He'll probably be on his iPhone getting his agent to sort some flights out to LA BABY.. Whooo

Haha, nice pic Kev.

A standard single break in a leg is quicker to heal than a double break? 4/5 months?

We should all club together and buy them a bouncy castle to train on to avoid injuries.
