Could be though, that would be terrible management.Lord Kangana wrote:I think he's been told he won't be offered a new contract, personally.
Surely you'd dangle the carrot at the very least....

I don't think its got anything to do with the management.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The decision may not.Lord Kangana wrote:I don't think its got anything to do with the management.
But whether to tell him is of course up to Owen Coyle...
And if you think that football matters aren't run by Coyle then you're living in an alternative reality.
One of Owens objectives is to reduce the age of the playing squad, but if he said I want to keep Davies here, there is no way on gods green earth that Gartside wouldn't try to do that for him....as long as Owen had the plan to meet his objectives...that's how it works.

Re: Kevin Davies
The raft of out of contract players on higher salaries is not a football decision, no matter how many ways you want to blame Coyle, contract negotiations will not be principally handled by him.
And if you think the Club Captain, stalwart and one of our longest serving players doesn't have an open line to our Chairman, I'd be questioning your own grasp on things, not mine.

Coyle keeps who he wants from a footballing point of view, if the finances can be worked through.....

And your opinion is based on what? An Alan Nixon Tweet or something? FFS.

Just went into the lounge in time to see a pic of KD on TV and Owen Coyle being interviewed. Missed what was said. Anybody?

KD was saying that though he has been a long and loyal servant - legend indeed - and nobody should take away his former glories - Tango should be put out to grass..TANGODANCER wrote:Just went into the lounge in time to see a pic of KD on TV and Owen Coyle being interviewed. Cruel AND unusual TANGO.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Kevin Davies
Coyle seems to have inherited Megsons PR advisors surely he does not believe the last bit?
He added: "You need players with big hearts, that are brave enough to get on the ball, pass and move and who can go into arenas like Old Trafford and perform.
"Kevin is one of those."
