Ready to put my bet on this mate! Seriously. I can't see a better chance for Torres to score than this game.

But I still think we can get something from this. 1-1 with Miyachi scoring again.

And for the love of God,play 4-5-1,it's the only way we can get anything. Eagles right,Miyachi left,Ngog up front and Muamba,Reo-Coker and Davies in the middle.
We'll be back!

If Coyle has any brain he puts Ryo on bosingwa. Ivanovic will play on the right and either Cole or bosingwa on the left. Both cole and bosingwas legs are gone and he can do damage with his pace. If he plays against Ivanovic, he wont do anything as the guy is rock solid and very fast.

Take it you didn't watch last night then? Ivanovic was awful.

Indeed, he was woeful. Looks shot of confidence. Let Ryo have a go at him.

Clearly in a bit of a crisis of confidence at the moment (would that we 'failed' at their level) but here's an interesting quote about Luiz from AVB last evening ;
"He's a fantastic young player with a big future ahead of him," Villas-Boas said. "He has to work to try and be a bit better.
Now, I know it's a second language & by someone under pressure, but "he has to work to try and be a bit better" ???
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Ivanovic v Petrov will be the most one sided contest in history. One kick in the opening minute and we won't see Martin again all afternoon.

But Ryo up against Ivanovic.. Have a go at him and see if we get any joy.

I believe IMLC was making a humorous comparison throughout his post.

Chelsea 6-0 Bolton.

This is all due to the fact Chelsea haven't won for a bit. We're bound to let them steamroll us.

I dunno where this notion of dropping Petrov has come from. Ever since his comeback he's been one of our better players. Certainly done more than Eagles. Would like to see Ryo and Petrov start on the wings with our usual three in midfield. Although I expect Ryo/Eagles to start. To me Ryo looks more right footed, it might be a ploy to play out left to cut inside I guess.

I'd fancy a solid organised team to get something at Stamford Bridge(an Everton for example) but I just don't have confidence in our team at all. I feel we're gonna get cocked.

I'd go along with that especially if Mavis isnt fit. To be honest it would be wise not to risk him if he has a dodgy hamstring. It would be interesting to see what Tuncay can do with a freer role. Get moo to keep a close track on Mata and make sure there arent massive gaps between full backs and central defenders and I'd be quietly confident of some kind of result.Would be useful to get something as city away looks pretty daunting.
