so we'd need to be offered silly money to sell a player who has one year left on his contract and is coming off the back of a year out? :/

i don't think any potential offers would need to be that silly for us to listen.

Hodori wrote:Ok, here's the latest on Bolton's squad situation as they prepare themselves for the transfer market.

1. Confirmed - Kevin Davies extended his contract
2. Expected - Petrov, Jussi and Ricketts will likely agree to an extension
3. Goners - Robinson, Blake, Sean Davis and Klasnic
4. Unknown - Knight b/c OC wants cover for Wheater but there's interest from WHAM

I think keeping Knight would be suicidal. OC's better off searching in Eastern Europe for a better, younger option.

Petrov is a surprise for me. That might mean Bolton are more comfortable (and prepared) to let LCY go before risking any devaluation in his transfer value if they were to in any way stumble in the Championship.

Mark Davies is being monitored by Newcastle. I doubt Holden will move in this window b/c he's still four or five months away from full recovery iirc.
If the news about Petrov is true then its incredible news imv. I assumed he was on a big old contract and he'd be certain to get better terms elsewhere if we got relegated. And to be fair to the guy he looked pretty distraught after the match on Sunday. I think he'll tear up the Championship based on his last four months. Can you imagine if he was playing Robbo style cloggers every week?

Thats a shitter about reo coker. I had him as next seasons tallismanic captain.

Can't say I blame him. He is a mediocre premiership player ergo better than the champo. He is in a position where he has been wholly overworked, to the point where he was injured. As was Muamba the season before. Coyle and his 'tactics' put too much strain on the midfirld, particularly if they are not trained to cover the yards like say Speedo was. We will struggle to replace him.
