Re: Portsmouth away, 4th August
Well you could be the last team we ever play, so I hope at least a few of you will come down!
Could you do us a favour and turn the lights off in the Milton End when you leave at the end of the game, please?

Looking less and less likely as, bizarrely I think I'm going to be in Bolton that weekend.

Did plan to, however each time I look at my debit card it cries at me. Though I think I'm going to head down for this one should it go ahead.Gooner Girl wrote:So Bish and i are off to this. Who else? If its still on?

Re: Portsmouth away, 4th August
Tal Ben Haim must be on silly money if he's not parted ways with the club yet. Apparently he's on £36k a week (£1.8m a year). No wonder he's not wanting out. I'd take him back at the club on reasonable money (not silly money as is the case now).
As for Pompey I hope they go into administration now. This saga has gone on for too long and its certainly not fair on the fans. At least if they did get put under the fans are likely to make a new club owned by the real supporters and followed by their fans instead of this joke of a situation where one crooked buyer runs it into the ground after another. It's a damn shame on their legacy of a football club and I do hope it all gets sorted out where Portsmouth fans are happy again but at the minute I can't see it happening unless it all goes belly up. They'd be starting again but at least it would be their club again and they would on their way up. Heck it worked for AFC Wimbledon and its worked for the wicked love child of Man Utd so I see no reason why it wouldn't work for Portsmouth.

Blimey GtE, our company isn't that bad - you don't have to go to such extreme measures to avoid it. A simple "I'm dyeing my hair that weekend" would have sufficed.Gary the Enfield wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:So Bish and i are off to this. Who else? If its still on?

My silver highlights don't need topping up yet.

I'm disappointed actually. I was trying to manoeuvre a way of going to Portsmouth and the party I'm invited to, but something's come up at home.

They are already in administration. It is liquidation they are talking about. A little more seriousMar wrote:Tal Ben Haim must be on silly money if he's not parted ways with the club yet. Re: Portsmouth away, 4th August
Just booked my train ticket - got it super cheap. Looking forward to watching a game of football even if it is Portmouth Vs Bolton, last season seems ages ago. Now, who to support?!

I think Portsmouth may need it a little more than we doGooner Girl wrote:Just booked my train ticket - got it super cheap. Looking forward to watching a game of football even if it is Portmouth Vs Bolton, last season seems ages ago. Now, who to support?!![]()

Re: Portsmouth away, 4th August
Same with my lad, whom I'll be taking along. His only game so far was about 5 years ago, Pompey V Wigan. We had to do the whole scarf, hat, gloves thing. (Pompey of course). His loyalties are torn. But hopefully he'll be a Wanderer come saturday. (Especialy as that **** David James refused to sign an autograph for him.Gooner Girl wrote:Just booked my train ticket - got it super cheap. @OfficialBWFC: BWFC: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Knight, Ricketts, Chung-Yong, Andrews, M Davies, Petrov, Eagles, Ngog
4411 I assume and it looks like the team that will start at Burnley.
@OfficialBWFC: BWFC Subs: Lonergan, Alonso, Ream, K Davies, Afobe, Wylde, Pratley, Riley, Vela, O'Halloran

Re: Portsmouth away, 4th August
Midfield is still too lightweight.
We might get away with it like in 94/5 and 96/7, though we'd require an avalanche of goals from Eagles, Davies, Petrov and Lee to do it.

Too lightweight even with an extra man... We'll have to settle for winning every game 5-4...Lord Kangana wrote:Midfield is still too lightweight.

Hopefully that Knight is the one who starts against Burnley, I wish OC would put Mavies in behind the striker and just let him roam the pitch and found space instead of playing him in centre mid!Relentless09 wrote:@OfficialBWFC: BWFC: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Knight, Ricketts, Chung-Yong, Andrews, M Davies, Petrov, Eagles, Ngog
