Re: Spearing after Bristol game?
It's probably all a ruse to get Bolton fans absolute terrified about the prospect of not having Jay in midfield.BWFC_Insane wrote:Yes, I accept that, but in this case at least as reported it was an impact injury rather than a strain.mrkint wrote:you can also use one for bad sprains, or simply just protect a v sore bit of soft tissue from unnecessary further injury (like, stubbing yer toe, or summat)
I'm not ruling out a fracture, I'm just saying that there are other reasons to wear one other than that
As for the second reason, possible, though I'd imagine there'd be a more "streamlined" solution possible for protecting a toe!
He's probably sat at a computer reading this, pissing himself laughing whilst simultaneously kicking an anvil.
Re: Spearing after Bristol game?
Eh, 'kicking an anvil', well I've never heard it called that before!

This from The Beeb.
Jay Spearing expects his bruised toe to have healed in time to be selected for Bolton but Medo Kamara is on standby.

Which will be recycled from yesterday's quotes from the manager. Whereas BWFCi's quotes from someone on the internet are newer...Bruce Rioja wrote:This from The Beeb.

Jay Spearing will be fit for tonight's game.
^ There. Can someone quote me as 'someone from the interenet'? Then it might actually happen because that's the latest

I was wondering if they might discover the body of Richey Edwards whilst fishing bits of Spearing's foot out of the Severn from what I'd read on the internet.

Re: Spearing after Bristol game?
Much ado about f*ck all.The 24-year-old limped out of Saturday’s 2-1 win at Bristol City with a toe injury and left Ashton Gate with a protective cast on as a precaution.
But Freedman revealed an X-ray has come back all clear with no broken bones and he is keeping his fingers crossed the influential Liverpudlian will be available.
The Whites boss will not know for definite, however, until this morning.
Anyway, some bloke on the internet said 'Jay Spearing will be fit for tonight's game.'

This isn't the midfielder you're looking for?Gary the Enfield wrote:Stormtrooper outfit. Nothing to see here.

I'd rather support Bolton than be you.
Re: Spearing after Bristol game?
He who shall not be named saying it is a broken toe. So is it a bruised toe or a bit of gamesmanship and he is really out for the season?
Dougie is not going to give Leicester the advantage of them know Spearing is out (if he is).
We may get the answer tonight.

Sounds like he's out for the season unless Dougie is feeding Nixon bullshit....
Re: Spearing after Bristol game?
I very much doubt he's doing that.

And Marc Iles from the BN reports that the injury hasn't been confirmed but 'doesn't sound good' and that he believes Freedman was covering up the extent of it in earlier quotes.
So once again Nixon 1 BN 0
Or Wanderers Ways 1 BN 0

Hardly the case as this load of stuff was published by the Bolton News at 7:00am this morning:BWFC_Insane wrote:And Marc Iles from the BN reports that the injury hasn't been confirmed but 'doesn't sound good' and that he believes Freedman was covering up the extent of it in earlier quotes.

Rubbish gets published in the media every day, there was a time it was just tomorrow's fish wrappers, now it's not even that useful.

It only needs one spark to start a fire storm, or these days, one tweet to start a load of bollocks.
