I would imagine he has a part to play.

Though I have heard he won't be with us next term!

I think whoever told you that load of nonsense is a know nowt prick.
Freedman would never, ever sign a saviour then say just a year later ship them out on loan.
And anyway, if there was any suggestion that our top goal scorer wasn't already surplus to requirements we'd have seen it already.
For example by him signing a loan guy in from Cardiff and dropping Beckford to the bench and just allowing him a few ten minute cameo appearances here and there.

So no. I'm sure Beckford will be here for the next ten years.

I know, that lazy Beckford should have played through his injury.....

Why, were he on the bench getting ten minute cameos when he were injured like?
Or not for the first time are you leaping in to defend Freedman without thinking?

Since he's been back fit from his hamstring problem he was on the bench four times. Then he started the last two.

Would you rather we'd not signed Mason and only had Jutkiewicz available whilst Beckford was injured?

Or as ever are you just trying to create something to moan about?

Whether we should've signed Mason or not is neither here nor there. This particular moan is my thoughts on Freedman signing a saviour and then shipping him out. Again.
Now I know I tend to overuse the sarcasm, but even so my point isn't that hard to understand is it?

He didn't ship him out. And never was Beckford described as the saviour.

My own view is that signing Beckford was a mistake, not the right sort of character we needed.

But we are where we are.

We cannot go into next season with Beckford as our only striker, and we cannot go in with Beckford and Sordell either.

We need to recruit at least two new strikers.

I know he didn't ship him out ffs. I've predicted he's going to next season. Apparently you are struggling to understand me....did you have a late night or something? :?

I don't mind Beckford but it was a lot of money on someone who is his age, in this division and hadn't been at his best for a few years. Surely there are better ways to spend £1m? I don't know why we don't look abroad where can get far more value for money.

Rumours that Ream might be going for a bit of money in the summer.

Ream did cost too much considering his position and where he was coming from, but he's only 26 and I think he'll end up being worth what we paid for him. Beckford, on the other hand, cost a lot of money and at 30, we're not going to get anything back for him. There must be better options in France, Germany, Spain and Italy, surely?

There's probably better options on Hackney Fields on a Sunday morning.

Are you sure ?

We bought him from Leicester only 12 months after they paid £2.5m.

I guess they wanted rid, but that's some drop in a year. I understood we paid around £1m. He's a year into a two year contract btw.

Come on Bobo. You know everything's gone exactly as Dougie planned it. Credit where it's due and all that....I mean it's not exactly as if we've just missed winning the Premiership title by a point or so. That really is bad management.....Ask City....
