I read yesterday that Kevin Doyle is training with the kids at Wolves whilst they try and shift him on. He's never been prolific but could be the target man we're looking for?

Central midfielder - not bad scoring stats. Dougie would soon beat that out of him!

Doyle off to Palace, potentially. http://the72.co.uk/17662/palace-interes ... s-striker/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

13 goals in 163 games ? I'm not sure how much could be beaten out of him.

Your standards have slipped sir.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Ah, so he foretells disaster in a cheery, bouncy way and nobody believes him? Sounds like Simon Charlton on GMR.

Oh not Tigger, Trigger! Sounds like Jack Dearden, then.

well - we know how dougie USED to use him.... I guess if Beckford's off...
Garvan moved to Crystal Palace in August 2010 for £250,000. He scored his first goal for Crystal Palace in a 4–3 defeat at Preston North End on 23 October 2010.[9] Garvan often played in the first half of the 2010–11 season, but with Palace playing poorly in the league. The new manager Dougie Freedman used Garvan as a bench option.

This will require a rethink cos we already have a bench at Bolton. Boo-boom!

Sorry Sir, was reading these from Iles instead: Garvan: 11 goals, 9 assists in 87 league games for Palace.

Oh, God. I've no idea how I feel about Beckford possibly leaving!! At the end of the day, he hasn't scored a lot of goals for us; but he also hasn't exactly started games consistently. We know he has ability, but we don't seem to be honing it, and his confidence has looked a little shot at times. If we let him go, though, are we even going to replace him? Will Dougie wait until the loan window next week? Will we replace him with an even worse player, as seems to be a growing trend at Bolton?

Iles twitter feed: One from the left flank - totally unconfirmed conjecture at this point... But ex-Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen has apparently been offered a one-year deal with the Whites.

Lovely description of that Pedersen story on Twitter: "Mental, worst story I've ever heard."

Iles again: Gears do appear to be moving at Wanderers - quite against the odds considering how the day started. We might yet have some movement in and out of the club in the next four and a half hours.
