Shocking pass by McAtee there, space opens up for another player to the right. Easy pass with a 3v2.
Maybe its worth, I dunno, shooting without an exquisite passing play beforehand.

Can only hope for a game of two halves as this has been shite.

There's not been much between the two sides. Take the absurd goal away from them and it's been even from what I can tell.
I've got this down as a game we need to be taking three points from. So far, this ain't gonna do the job.
Nice one Tomo. Great cross into the box that.

Best hope Evatt stays out of the dressing room at half time then!

Collins and Charles both go near post for the best cross of the game.
This is beyond awful.

Yup, dreadful.
No defending this one so far.
Look like they've no clue which runs to make at the minute.

Ha, yeah that’s true. However, his overall scoring rate has dropped significantly.
Vic can feel justifiably aggrieved not to be starting.

Defenders being asked to make quick 30/40 yard passes to feet of three forwards or in behind - none of them are good enough footballers to do it.
Wing backs who haven’t got into the game at all, and look swamped when Charlton play it out wide.
Midfield two totally overrun and dominated.
Three forwards who aren’t on each others wavelength at all. Charles in particular has been impressively shit.
All in all, well done Ian. You’ve managed to come up with a formation that’s easier to counter than last years!

John McGinlay hoping the midfield three can get into the game. What midfield three?
I'm fairly certain we're not static out wide and the system is intended on being more fluid so maybe that makes the three. We're showing as having 8 shots, don't remember it being that much.
We're hoping for all our players to 'click' into the system. How long before we acknowledge its not working?

If he wasn’t such a stubborn c*nt he’d go to a basic 433, probably with Johnston at left back, or possibly sacrificing Toal who’s fecking bobbins anyway.

Both Santos and Baxter should've done better with that goal.
That chance that their number 10 had (the guy that scored) then had two bits of the cherry. We were defensively setup to have FIVE at the back walking backwards and neither midfielder being able to close down.
I can only summize that we're missing a body in midfield.

A half decent manager goes 433 now. Half time. Because this system is all over the place. We have no midfield. Wing backs aren’t quick enough to deal with it. Number tens need to be out wide not in the middle. Charles is struggling.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 3:55 pmIf he wasn’t such a stubborn c*nt he’d go to a basic 433, probably with Johnston at left back, or possibly sacrificing Toal who’s fecking bobbins anyway.

We have nothing in midfield, defensively or going forward - this system isn't working. Same lack of leadership on the pitch, same lack of tactical nous off it.
We need an exceptional 45 mins here or the knives will be out (and not just by me !), I'm actually quietly confident as under Evatt we only ever play for 45 mins at best (actually more like 30 mins) - so having been poor 1st half I expect the team to play much better 2nd half (that's if they can survive the usual lethargy in the 1st 5 mins of the 2nd half after his motivational team talk).
This will end 2-2.

You can't control a game from behind. Now whilst that might be the biggest N.S.S. of the season, its the truth. Get in front, the world's your oyster , go behind, you lose. That simple when we aren't scoring anyway right now. Santos is a walking advert for sleeping tablets . He hasn't shone so far at all and there's more fizz in a can of lemonade. We must score....Get Dempsey up front, him and Thomason are our best bet for anything. The rest are playing like girls . Buck Up..."

Can't be arsed analysing it, to be honest.
Frustrating to watch and think about.

Doesn’t need analysing, same problems exist from last season and the season before it. No outlets. Massively overrated players who can’t do what they are asked in key roles. An over complicated system. No urgency and players who have a poor attitude. Give the ball away under no pressure in a suicidal area then wave your hands round blaming everyone else.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 4:01 pmCan't be arsed analysing it, to be honest.
