Oh and Lawrie Wilson, Lewis Buxton and Marc Wilson. Not sure I'd recognise any of em if they were sat across from me.

Given the Bulut, if you will.

I'm not sure many if any British clubs would be interested clubs would in taking that guy, who'd never managed outside his native Turkey before, but the job he's left might appeal to someone we could otherwise be interested in, without naming any Schumachers.

It seems to me that - a couple of horrendous results not withstanding - he's got the "6 games" leeway (including last weekend's games), by which time they should be in a position to point to improvement and all the reasons why we wouldn't...

Aye agreed.

I'm just treating this thread as a managerial roundabout thread more than anything. Wouldn't be interested in whoever the frick Cardiff's manager is, or was.

If he keeps winning (bar at Arsenal) he keeps the job. I’m still very far from sure that we wouldn’t have been better rolling the dice - hence this thread - but if he keeps winning, he stays in the seat.

If he loses at Birmingham having won the others in the meantime, he will probably be forgiven that lapse by the board, but not by the cold hard maths of catching the top two. By the fans? Dunno; doubt it, universally speaking.

He'll be here until the end of the season now, I expect.

Not if the league position doesn’t improve drastically. Bottom half in a month and surely he has to go?

Sure, but I think the likelihood is that we'll return to picking up enough points from the also-rans to keep us in contention for the play-off places, and him out of immediate danger.

Maybe. There’s definitely a formula for playing against us that works. We’ll be tested, definitely away from home. Has to win them all really until we get to Birmingham where I’m anticipating a surrender. Up to Evatt to come up with a game plan.

He could be gone by this time next week should we not get a win at either Crawley or Northampton, which is a possibility and a decent one at that.

I don't think he could be, because it seems clear to me the board are backing him and that he'll be given a run of matches, at least until the next international break, to sort it out.

And Tuesday there's your two losses - bye bye Mr Evatt.

He’s not going anywhere. Unless he walks. And he can’t walk because his managerial stock is somewhere south of Shrewsbury.

He should have gone after Wembley and really he should have walked then, he still had enough stock to go and get a decent job and I think it was a natural out point.

I am incredibly frustrated but I don’t see them sacking him because if you aren’t sacking a manager after losing 4-0 at home and being in the bottom three when your aspirations are top two and he comes out with the absolute self indulgent drivel he did following that then there aren’t any circumstances under which you will sack him. So we will trundle along the tedious road to nowhere winning enough to keep Evatt in a job continually bagging his receipts but never actually going anywhere or achieving anything that matters.

Sharon I suspect might be in for a shock because it’s going to get tough this job, I can’t see many being very keen on a season ticket next season for yet more league one stuff. And the loan repayment starts to kick in after that. I worry about the Swiss investors too. How long do they fancy financing a big expensive club to tread water in league one? And they are hands off enough that I think they’d walk out rather than become hands on.

On the Swiss investors, there's about 25 of 'em as I understand it.

@DSB maybe you could add a poll to this thread?

There are two prominent newly available managers, and it would be interesting to learn which way the forumites would lean.
