Taking Stock; A visit from the neighbours. V Hatters, Sat, 15th Mr. 12-30.

Ref, how do you fall for that? Insane. JDC clearly obstructed, then the guy dives. Awful.
Standard practice. Any LB or RB that is shielding the ball gets a free kick if they go down.

What a ball in Thommo.

Dare I ask what McAtee was yellow carded for?

This referee is an absolute whopper.

I’m intrigued to see. They were both hand bagging.

Yup, another Birmingham scenario. Waits until he gets subbed off rather than getting sent off.

Disgraceful officiating. How are they not being held accountable for this standard?

Strange game. We’ve been the better side. Yet Stockport have had the only chance (that we gifted them) and should have scored.

For all we are the better side I’m at no point thinking we are about to score and that’s not great yet it does feel like we could easily gift them something at the back.

No atmosphere either. Very flat.

Referee predictably hopeless.

More concerned for the second half than anything else tbh.

Just seen the "penalty", their defender had no intention of playing the ball. 100% penalty.

Baxter thankfully kept it 0-0. We're goingt to need everyone on it this second half as we're up against 12 men here.

I mean it's not like it's a tough tackle, maybe a foul maybe not. Dude just held our mon back. Bet Challinor subs him at half-time - he'd be daft not to - and like McGinlay I'm saddened we didn't just keep feeding Tutu to run at him (altho the ref clearly isn't thinking straight)

Fascinating half - they're a good team, so are we. They look slightly more controlled but I think that's my emotion rather than my intellect talking. I've certainly sworn at the ref more in this game than I have all season, so I believe the passion may be returning...

Proper game, this, and 45+ crucial minutes coming up. If we lose, it's two on the bounce and the upcoming derby double loom large and loutish. If we win, Bristol's a blip and we look forward to the next two months.

Exactly.

There's no real difference between our penalty call early on with the Collins foul and the penalty that was given against us when we played at Bristol City.

We've had a let off with Forino's foul which should've been a booking (possible red).

The sooner we see full time referees the better. There's no reason for his level of incompetence.

Should be 10 men, his initial foul was possibly red worthy and then persistent fouling aswell. Queue the sub at HT.

Yeah, exactly that. I was ranting to the wife (who I'm sure cares a lot) about how he'll be subbed and it's advantage Stockport. Really annoying.

Good, and so it should. I don't get the feeling that the games are a done thing already. Anything can happen at the moment and its refreshing to see. Latter stages of Evatt you could see the same scenario playing out, but under Schuey we're good for a change for the better.

Aye. Owt could happen, and for now my optimistic angels are outshouting my pessimistic devils. (My journalistic analysis says it could go either way. )

Shock horror he's gone off.

Not as bad as the Birmingham one for me, but would be nice to get the rub off the green. Add the stonewall penalty and it's hard not to feel hard done by amongst the general incompetence.
