We're getting a bit dizzy here - we're still waiting for any of our strikers to score ONE in the league!

The LOVS has a post about our recent acquisitions, and the consequent fans reactions on various social networking sites.

"Writing players off before a ball has been kicked"

http://www.lionofviennasuite.com/2013/9 ... een-kicked" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If we're running around signing other teams rejects it stands to reason that they themselves have been written off does it not, Hence why they cannot get their parent clubs team.

None of the three fill me with confidence, their previous records, performances and honours lists don't exactly shout "That's the player we need"

I hope I, and indeed other fans with worse reactions are proven wrong. Otherwise it's goodnight Dougie.

You're making the assumption that the manager rejecting our new rejects are correct in their rejection. Djorkaeff was a reject when he came to us. Not saying any of these rejects are as good as him, but he was still a reject nonetheless. I'll add Campo, Hierro, Laville et al to the previously rejected but turned out alreet in the end...

Haha :D No I wasn't justifying negative reactions, But you can't blame them.

Of the players you listed- They all were top top performers with honours lists including world cups, Champions leagues etc

The three we have brought in don't exactly share that "success" factor do they.

Aside from the likes of Hierro, Campo, Djorkaeff who couldn't get into other people's teams, there was also the likes of Sturridge, Wilshere etc. Dawson couldn't get into West Brom's team. Nolan (obviously not a loanee) was clearly jaded here, but went on to look three time the player we got rid of. So no, it doesn't follow because you can't get into another team, you're shoite.

That I think is different than whether or not you think these three are sh1t.

We are playing a division below, so are only going to be able to attract journeymen and the unproven. None of them are likely to excite.

We've been missing character, passion and pride. Whilst these rejects might lack a bit of greatness and skill, they might just add a bit of fight. They are after all playing for their futures (in theory). If they do then it might just be a catalyst for some of the others and get them fired up. If our squad gets fired up with some fight and desire then we're quite likely to do much much better. If they don't add anything then absolutely, the finger very much needs jabbing in Dougie's chest, along with some impolite questions...

And how about Craig Dawson – a West Brom "reject"– when we signed him last season? Hardly jizz-your-pants material, yet pretty much the reason we escaped humiliation.

But the thing with Craig Dawson is that no-one can quite work out why he's not getting a look-in at the Baggies... He has England u21 caps, he played for Team GB in Th'lympics and when on loan with us turned us into a relatively consistent winning outfit.

He could be another Cahill.

Team GB. That term never gets less nauseating.

Strange comment in the BN re the McNaughton transfer, namely....
Freedman is hoping that international clearance will be granted for Cardiff City loanee Kevin McNaughton to feature at Bloomfield Road, which is likely to mean Alex Baptiste shifted to the left of the back four against his former club.

But that is by no means certain, and the Whites boss is keeping his fingers crossed for some good luck from football’s governing body.

It’s left in FIFA’s hands right now because I don’t think they are too keen on the loan system,
So he needs international clearance because he is going from the Welsh FA to the English FA, that is clear enough. I'm not exactly sure what FIFA have got to do with it though?

Has there ever been a loan from English to Welsh club (or vica versa) in the emergency loan window? I wonder if this is some sort of problem? We couldn't get a loan from France for example during this period, only a domestic loan. I'm wondering if this could hit choppy waters?

Could be Gregg Wylde all over again but I'd like to think if he does play he has a greater impact
