Then I re-read it and felt a bit upsetSkysports.com understands Reading are lining up a move for Millwall defender Paul Robinson.

Vukovic is, potentially, a very good player .... but where the hell would we put him in our midfield now, once all are fit ?
Shame if he goes to Jackburn tho.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Apparently, according to Football Transfer Tavern (Who?), N'Gog is to sign this week and will play alongside Kevin Nolan. So that is two signings then.

Bolton are to complete the signing of Liverpool's David N'Gog for a fee of £4m in a matter of days.
Bolton have been following the former Paris St Germain striker all summer and had been hoping to tie up a deal long before now. However, there have been suggestions that the deal was held up at Liverpool's end as they searched for additional strikers.
Though Liverpool have undoubted quality in Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll and Dirk Kuyt up front, three strikers is simply not enough to push Liverpool towards the top of the league. If the excellent Suarez were to get injured, a strike force of Carroll and Kuyt would be distinctly average compared to the rest of the top five.
With youngster Dani Pacheco on the verge of signing a year-long loan deal with Rayo Vallecano, it is clear that Liverpool need to buy at least one striker before the end of the transfer window.
There were also many reports that Kenny Dalglish was delaying the deal in order to attempt to use N'Gog's transfer fee as a discount on the signing of centre-back Gary Cahill from Bolton – another area of the team Liverpool are in need of strengthening.
At 22, and with experience at every level of French youth internationals, Bolton will be delighted with the purchase. Naturally, Coyle will play N'Gog in the Sturridge role of last year, working in tandem with Kevin Nolan.
If the pair click, Bolton can have high hopes of improving on last year's very respectable league campaign.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Kolan would be a lot nearer Premiership football if he moved his armchair closer to the TV.

Not exactly new news, but:

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is aiming to sign THREE new players this week, with swoops for Liverpool's David Ngog and Manchester City duo Shaun Wright-Phillips and Dedryck Boyata.
Coyle is desperate to bolster his small squad before next Wednesday's deadline and has stepped up his hunt with a new £4 million-plus offer for striker Ngog - who could now make his Bolton debut at Anfield next Saturday.
The Frenchman has been cleared to leave by Reds manager Kenny Dalglish and Wanderers hope to agree a fee and terms quickly.
Coyle has also got the nod from City to speak to Belgian defender Boyata, who is also wanted by Blackburn, Everton, West Brom and several Championship teams.
The 20-year-old has been told he can go out on loan for experience by City manager Roberto Mancini, who is an admirer of Bolton's style under Coyle and thinks Boyata would benefit from getting games under his belt.
Busy Coyle also spoke to Wright-Phillips when the two sides met on Sunday about the prospect of linking up with his pals Zat Knight and Nigel Reo-Coker at the Reebok.
Bolton are willing to pay the England winger around £2 million-a-year but will not go higher.
QPR, Wigan and Stoke have all offered Wright-Phillips better personal terms, but Coyle is banking on him wanting to stay in the Manchester area and play for a team that suits his attacking style.
Wanderers would also have to pay City a fee of around £2million for the 29-year-old.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Wonder if we threw the game against Citeh just to get on Mancini's good side. No other logical reason we could lose to a side like that at home.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Anyway really hoping that we make at least one signing this week, actually after Steinssons injury really would like two signings this week.

This article suggests we'd be paying SWP around 38,500 a week. That seems to contradict some of the theories on our wage cap.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Not exactly new news, but:

Wages will be approximations. And its not always a simple bottom line amount per week. Bonuses make up a big part of it, as do signing on fees etc.Owen'sEleven wrote:This article suggests we'd be paying SWP around 38,500 a week. There wont be an absolute definitive cap limit either.

I thought our wage cap was set around £40k?
Which would fit perfectly in to that.

Has anyone at the Daily Mirror noticed that Nixon has been filing the same story for the last couple of weeks? He could at least throw in a couple of made-up transfer targets for variety.
