We need to sell a player to get some cash in.
We're on telly.
Bogdan starts and plays well.
Bogdan gets sold later that week.
You heard it here first.

P.S. Lonergan has played exceptionally well and gained us valuable points. Had he been in net yesterday I have no doubt he would have saved every shot that Bogdan did.

Since we let Paddy Kenny go only this week, might it be that N.L. is looking to keep hold of both Lonergan and Bogdan? Sell one and who do we have as back-up?

Aaron? I think he's still there.
I think we need strikers more than we do 2 good keepers. There's always a decent keeper or two available for loan if someone gets injured. Like Peter Shilton!

Kenny going has nothing to do with the futures of either Bogdan, nor Lonergan.

I think Bogdan is comfortably better than Lonergan, but that isn't to say Lonergan hasn't been oustanding this past few weeks. I also think Bogdan won't be here next season, Lonergan may well be.

good! that post about signing him next week seemed odd to me - I mean - has he other places he needs to be?!
We have to wait for the end of next week because we have had two other loans from Cardiff this season, and you can't have three on loan from the same team at the same time (the official end of Mason's loan period is next Friday). Hence, he cannot play against Rotherham, but can against Wolves.
cheers! that makes sense!

quite... but - They are both probably too good to consider themselves as long-term "back-up"...

Well, truthfully, I don't know what the plans are, but I imagine we had Kenny for the period of Bogdan's injury, which nobody could have predicted. Now that seems sorted, but we still need decent cover just in case. I really don't know much about any of other squad lads. It has to be said though, that much of our points success and league position lately has been from keeper skill as much as the front-enders.

Apparently Foolham are monitoring the contract situation with Matt Mills as his runs out in Summer. They had offered to take him on loan and surprisingly considering how good he's been we said "not on your nelly"

aye - totally true - from the club's perspective - but (long term) both Boggers and Lonners will think they are good enough (and they are right) to be goalie number 1 rather than emergency cover goalie... It's the same scenario we faced with Jussi and Al Habsi...

we've been cursed over a number of years with having too many great goalies! :D

Pie-eaters have also asked Burnlee about taking The Juke on loan

Arran Lee-Barrett left in the summer. The third in line is Ross Fitzsimons who plays regularly for the U21s.

As do I.

There's rumours that Liverpool are now interested in him after yesterday's performance.

I think it was Daily Mail and Star who suggested that Liverpool were after Boggers after yesterday

Very true, Bish.

Boggers would be a great addition for them, help us make some purchases too. Maybe we could look at bringing in Ibe as part of the deal?
