Anyhow, Nixon claims we are making progress with what he describes as a decent manager, someone who Anderson wants according to Nixon. Not sure whether that means he is also someone Deano rates.
No idea who though. He says he may write a story on it tomorrow.

Indeed. I see Sheridan"s odds have come in today to 11/2. Not sure how much the betting market is an indicator for a job nobody cares much about outside of Bolton in this case, but it would keep DSB happy and I suspect most would be relatively satisfied if John did return.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Anyhow, Nixon claims we are making progress with what he describes as a decent manager, someone who Anderson wants according to Nixon. Coz our fitness has been a fckg scandal since the days of the Chester Barnes and his fat brother-in-law.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye. But, judging from the photo accompanying the article, Deanno isn't exactly leading by example.bobo the clown wrote:Good.TANGODANCER wrote:Deano's laying it on the line early.....

Heh! I think Sheridan would be a risk (we'd be a step up, and he's not yet proven himself a longterm manager) but I'd be content if he were involved in the interview process and adjudged to be the right man.BWFC_Insane wrote:I see Sheridan"s odds have come in today to 11/2. As for odds, they only reflect a bookmaker's desire to protect his money, not necessarily the likelihood of an event occurring. For instance, between Jun 1 and Aug 5 one bookmaker's PR arm sent me 14 "odds slashed" emails. Not one of the slashed-odds events came to pass within a reasonable timeframe; the vast majority of them didn't occur at all. You'll never see a bookie on a bike.

Yet both freedman and lennon came in saying players weren't fit enough. By the time they left they seemed less fit than when they arrivedbobo the clown wrote:Good.TANGODANCER wrote:Deano's laying it on the line early.....

I think they were in good physical shape under freedman and lennon benefitted from that. Now they look like a pub team.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Yet both freedman and lennon came in saying players weren't fit enough. I can't argue on the fitness as I've not been to matches, but I do recall people complaining about it, possibly unfairly I guess.
Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
So Nixon saying it is John Sheridan. Anderson and Townsend agree but Holdsworth not so sure. Compensation would be much less than Phil Brown.BWFC_Insane wrote:Anyhow, Nixon claims we are making progress with what he describes as a decent manager, someone who Anderson wants according to Nixon. @JRBWFC Yeah ... but somebody needs to be able to deliver a manager. Lot of chiefs about. But no boss.

Iles chips in too...

Can't help but feel the fact #bwfc in an embargo would scupper chances of attracting a manager currently in a job. Would apply to Brown too.
Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
has townsend been introduced to the mix simply so there is an odd number of people to agree/disagree - thus always producing a clear result either way?
