Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Those names should mean social services get involved.

Klay Rooney is going to be fine in life. Klay Smith is going to be f*cked.

Mind you could be worse, they could have an Aryan Nation father like that jackass in America who turned up to court in full Nazi regalia
Pfffft.

Nicely designed ad, that. Homage to VW's 60s ads? Obviously someone's feeling hemmed in at the BN... Good luck to 'em.Annoyed Grunt wrote:hypertexttransferprotolmassiveURLremoved

Re: Club Rebranding
So is it fair to say that in the last week or so
1. Our fans have protested against the quick quid deal (all though I am not sure if it really was a protest)
2. The club then went back on the decision to be sponsored by quick quid
3 some top bloke took an add to thank the club

Re: Club Rebranding
Isn't next season the 75th anniversary of the 'Wartime Wanderers' enlistment? It would be fitting to commemorate it with an away kit of red and blue quarters. They'd sell loads.bwfcdan94 wrote:What about that old pink strip from that sort of era.thebish wrote:bring back the 1884 away strip, I say!

Personally I would love to see this but in modern football I have my doubts and there probably will be a section of fans who would be against supporting soldiers.BL3 wrote:Isn't next season the 75th anniversary of the 'Wartime Wanderers' enlistment? Re: Club Rebranding
I don't think it is about soldiers as such. More a nod to a remarkable group of young men and a chance for a wider group of people to learn a small but important part of our proud history. Even if they played in it for our nearest match to Remembrance Sunday rather than a whole season.Relentless09 wrote:Personally I would love to see this but in modern football I have my doubts and there probably will be a section of fans who would be against supporting soldiers.BL3 wrote:Isn't next season the 75th anniversary of the 'Wartime Wanderers' enlistment? I'm pretty sure T.O.F.F.S. used to sell them. I've seen them somewhere.........
Re: Club Rebranding
Who the hell is 'against supporting soldiers'? Hardly anyone. Although AT's guess of slightly more than a quarter of a person per full Reebok probably doesn't factor in the token village idiot . I think plenty turn away from the demi-deification of soldiers, and reject the ridiculous narrative that all soldiers are all heroes all of the time, but I don't know anybody who is 'against supporting soldiers' at the appropriate time.
I think this would be one, but commemorative kits are shit. If the issue here were fund-raising I could see the point, but if it's about awareness then it's so half-arsed and 21st century; we might as well just have a Facebook petition. Minute's silence, feature in the programme, stuff going on outside the ground, some sort of actual contact and interaction would be nice.
