Playing on words. We have cravies and mason injured, that's two plus Beckford has gone.

Really? Look what Lennon's done with other players that have been considered 'gash'. Other than for his predilection for giving penalties away, I'd say that Baptiste is a very decent right back.Prufrock wrote:Jesus wept, we did well to get rid of Baptiste once, don't want to have to do it again.

Blackburn fans like him and I don't think he's that bad. Think he lost confidence under FreedmanBruce Rioja wrote:Really? Look what Lennon's done with other players that have been considered 'gash'. Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience

They do but also prepared to overlook his shortcomings such as being caught with his head up his arse and skinned as against boro when a penalty could have been awarded.twilight wrote:Blackburn fans like him and I don't think he's that bad. He isn't a world beater as we know but whatever Lennon does I will be happy.

I thought it was generally agreed by the hive-mind that Baptiste was never a full-back as long as he had a hole in his arse, and that Freedman was a stubborn prick for not picking him at centre-back?

Yup. And its true.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

He has done both. Started out at full back and then moved inside after 3 or 4 games when they had an injury crises. Think he is playing out wide again now.TonyDomingos wrote:Is he playing centre half for full back for the dingles?
Heard nothing but good comments about him in his time over at the dingles.
Re: Rumour has it.............
Would still prefer Riley at RB. Any word on Tierney's condition? He was very good, super consistent before his injury.

Tierney, I believe, is finished. If he has a 2 year deal, we probably won't see him againVertigo wrote:Would still prefer Riley at RB. Any word on Tierney's condition? He was very good, super consistent before his injury.

I think they have now sorted out the hole in his arse - so it would be fine now.

Indeed, he started at RB the other day, until an injury to LB Olsson caused a tiny switcharound as their Twitter feed noted:ChrisC wrote:He has done both. ...so that's simple then.34mins: Looks like Alex Baptiste has gone across to left-back, Ben Marshall to right-back, Tom Cairney right wing and Craig Conway left.
Re: Rumour has it.............
allegedly, boro are also sniffing around Nick Powell - the "versatile midfielder who can operate as a striker as well"....

meanwhile the Mail online has us in talks with Commons - with the possibility of offering him some kind of bonus-fuelled deal if we can't afford his wages...
