A mere 25 miles from Chateau Zulu. I may have to pay him a visit. Where did I put that rifle?

ARSEnal gained a lot of fans with the move to the Emirates, I'm guessing that these 'fans' are a bunch of hooray Henry's, with no knowledge of football whatsoever. They haven't got a f*cking clue, if I had to sit next to plums like them, I'd have given up on football long ago.
Read the BBC board and you'll be amazed at just how many times the words 'thug' and 'assault' are mentioned, they really think that the rest of the PL are out to get them
The best thing is, when they've been proven wrong, they resort to the usual 'it must be hard living in Bolton with no jobs', that's as witty as they get.
Most deluded fans in the country - well done Arsenal.
I was going to try to make them understand that we, Bolton Wanderers supporters, follow a club who don't expect to win anything, but it'd just confuse the glory-hunting clowns. They make Fulham fans look f*cking passionate.
Roll on the game at the Reebok - expect big mouth ARSEnal fans on the internet and silent ARSEnal fans around the stadium

Troll and proud of it.
I once had a looooooooooooooooooong discussion with an otherwise perfectly rational and intelligent Gooner about what football supporting is about.
bottom line was he simply could not understand how anyone could support a team that was crap - or how a fan could describe his own team as crap - or how if your team didn't play "entertaining" football you could possibly persist in supporting them.
we were simply different breeds with nothing at all in common - not even football - which to him is about entertainment and a good matchday experience (a bit like the theatre) and which to me was a bit more like a curse - a tribal addiction (ok - it was in the megson days!) that is not in the least bit affected by the shitness, lack of success or lack of entertainment in my team.

I had a fairly short conversation whilst on holiday, with some bloke called "Gaz", about the same topic. He supported Millwall until he was 17, then switched to United "because they won things." He was about 35 and thought that this was a reasonable approach to life.thebish wrote:I once had a looooooooooooooooooong discussion with an otherwise perfectly rational and intelligent Gooner about what football supporting is about.

Didn't take me long to tip the barstaff large enough to say "Yes, Mr plastic Gaz?" every time he went to the bar...
My manager at work is the same, he's a gooner and asked the question the other week how I could persist in going to the Reebok every fixture to watch Bolton when we're never likely to win the league? I said to him that maybe that was right but it makes the victories all that more sweeter. He still didn't get itWorthy4England wrote:I had a fairly short conversation whilst on holiday, with some bloke called "Gaz", about the same topic. Being a Bolton fan is about more than just mere "winning" - it's about family duty, and a shared sense of melancholy in defeat, knowing that no matter how bad it gets, we'll all see each other next week...and the week after...and the week after that...come rain or shine, glorious victory or shameful defeat, it's more than just football. It's a brotherhood.TKIZ! wrote:My manager at work is the same, he's a gooner and asked the question the other week how I could persist in going to the Reebok every fixture to watch Bolton when we're never likely to win the league? The word "protection" seems to jump up in every Wenger news item. Maybe the government should start an "Arsenal Players Protection Programme" . Only this morning OC accused Winger of being a two-faced git after his latest whining about Paul Robinson.as wrote: Read the BBC board and you'll be amazed at just how many times the words 'thug' and 'assault' are mentioned, they really think that the rest of the PL are out to get them![]()

Had the same crap from the resident gooner at work today - 'it's all about the entertainment', he said when I reminded him they'd won f*ck all recently.thebish wrote: bottom line was he simply could not understand how anyone could support a team that was crap - or how a fan could describe his own team as crap - or how if your team didn't play "entertaining" football you could possibly persist in supporting them

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

As boring as it is regarding the whining that comes out of Arsensal players, management and it's fans you should never wish for serious injuries on a player, as deserving as it might seem.Sir Nut wrote:The challenge wasnt even that bad, he got the ball and followed through! I wish he'd have shattered his leg now.
I wish Robinson broke Diabys his leg. At least Wengers whining would of been worth while then.seanworth wrote:As boring as it is regarding the whining that comes out of Arsensal players, management and it's fans you should never wish for serious injuries on a player, as deserving as it might seem.Sir Nut wrote:The challenge wasnt even that bad, he got the ball and followed through!
