Bull. Shit.

You couldn't shed players because you and Megson bought players who were so bad and so overpaid that we quite literally couldn't GIVE them away.

Take some responsibility Gartside.
It isn't bullshit. Everyone had a squad size limit imposed on them this season. That's why the market died.
That and the economic climate around football in general.

You have to realise that Pedersen was calling for us to sign Bellamy in the summer so we're hardly likely to get any rational sense out of him. One minute he's complaining that Gartside isn't letting the manager sign anyone then he's moaning that he hasn't intervened to "block" signings.
First point is that nobody, in any economic climate, is going to fork out £18,000 a week for Danny Shittu, especially after he only made a dozen sub-par appearances in two years for us.

Second point is that there doesn’t seem to be any inconsistency in saying that if we hadn’t made bad signings like Shittu and Riga, we’d have the money to pay Bellamy’s wages. Your point is quite frankly absurd. “First you don’t want Gartside to sign off on bad transfers. Then you want him to make good transfers! MAKE UP YOUR MIND!”
That's fair enough, after we paid him off he got signed by Millwall. Hopefully we didn't pay him that much. What do you think he's on now?

UEFA are - new regulations comin' soon to a league near you. Well, actually, not near you if you're in America. More here, here and here.

FanInOz, we'll make money when we sell someone we don't particularly want to, like Anelka, or Curcic/Stubbs/Thompson/Blake/Gudjohnsen etc. We can't have it both ways - making profit on transfers AND keeping our best players.

Thanks for the out-of-contract answers, Whookam et al. I'd be sad to see Ricardo Gardner go, but he's no longer an essential. Elmo obviously, plus Steinsson and Bogdan looks good; other than that...

Stuart Hall just reported on 5 live that Eddie Davies is pretty pissed off with the reporting of the debt and stated that the club is 10 million in debt. He's put 90 million in essentially as a fan so it shouldn't be considered a debt.Didn't realise he's from the village. The best folk generally are.....

Same as Chelski. Red Rom writes off the debt as and when. The £90Mil is probably his pension pot and probably worth more here than in broke Eire. However, I think his "Statement" that the club is only £10Mil in debt might be viewed as optimistic at best. Perhaps he's talking us up for the banks' benefit. 8)

You know exactly which village :)
He also made the point that he's not some Russian prospector.Strikes me as a less wealthy version of that fella who used to bankroll Blackburn.Either way the message seems very much don't stress we're fine.

Chows, being the second best chippy in Bolton, merely affirms the strength of the chippies of Astley Bridge. :P

The people of Marseilles certainly support the Little lever contingent, having listened to Crazy Horse in French. Of course they think they sell tyre irons but..
