Yeah I know what he means, and he's right, I just wouldn't describe it as being "too premier league", more just hitting the buffers!East Lower wrote:I think he's referring to the detachment that began with Sam and ended (probably) when the other tosser left - in terms of not feeling that this was the 'same' club that it used to be - something admitted by Gartside at those fan conference things.

Theres only one John McGinlay.Previous managers have struggled to lay his ghost to rest. Sammy Lee didn’t get close, and the Ginger Mourinho played the same sort of long ball stuff without any of the great results which Sam earned in his time at the Reebok.
That was always going to put Gary Megson under pressure, and it was even more so because of the lack of respect he showed the supporters at times.

They've sold the lower tier so wouldn't expect more than 3500 fans travelling, poor showing at these prices!

{sigh} let's not get into a fans-turnout cock-waving contest with Blackburn....

Last time we had a £15 ticket for this fixture, it was one the best away days I've ever had!

Why not? We'd win. Burnley, Blackpool and even Preston have sold the South Stand at the Reebok, but for some reason those mutants never do. The emergence of Blackburn 'fans' in the mid 90's (they're all Chelsea fans now) in Bolton was a low point, I can handle glory-hunters following the big clubs.....but not those charlies up the road.thebish wrote:Salford Trotter wrote:http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/top ... e__st__100

Wigan and Jackburn are the worst 'local' fans around, if Uncle Jack hadn't have bought those dingles the title, they'd be struggling to get 10k on at home.
Plastic fans, who's police act like Nazi's if you attempt to drink in Blackburn town centre before the game, as the locals get 'frightened'.
I don't hate Man Utd, but I hate Jackburn, and everything associated with them

Troll and proud of it.

The season we finished third, Blackburn sold out both tiers for the league game (despite it being televised) and I believe they sold it out in a day, when we met them in the FA Cup.as wrote:Why not? You mean the Friday night game?
That was on telly, and there was a few of them about, but it wasn't full.
Give me a Burnley fan over a Blackburn fan anyday, despite our Salford plastic-reds trying to defend them......

Sitting in the West Lower for the first time this season. I want to see if I can catch a glimpse of Sir Owen.
What are the attendance estimations for this one? I'm praying for a full house!

Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
Blackburn usually have a good turnout, but it's the least popular time for the home crowd, it's on telly, and the games have been absolutely terrible as a spectacle and produced a string of poor results for the Wanderers...Odelay wrote:Sitting in the West Lower for the first time this season. 21k I'd guess, which would be very disappointing...

Even with cheapo tickets???
Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
It's always cheapo tickets isn't it? Thought we had a deal with them every year where both games are £15 a pop? Or have I been having weird dreams again?
