I was behind that goal at Stoke and I believe Shilts is still going down in instalments...Bruce Rioja wrote:Remember him coming on to make his debut at Stoke at the Victoria after Adi Davison fecked up, conceded a penalty and got sent off. The first time that Peter Shilton ever touched a match ball whilst playing for us was to collect it from the back of the net!

He struggled to even bend down to pick it up from what I recall.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I was behind that goal at Stoke and I believe Shilts is still going down in instalments...Bruce Rioja wrote:Remember him coming on to make his debut at Stoke at the Victoria after Adi Davison fecked up, conceded a penalty and got sent off. Like me fastening my shoes these days.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

When's the last time you saw your shoes?
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

Shilton I reckon was player manager at plymouth a couple of seasons before he joined us on loan and we played them. Bet thats quite unique signing someone after they have managed a team you have played against?

He did - pretty sure we were 3-0 up by half time. Seem to remember them scoring a bizarre own goal, too. Shilton played like an 80 year old. Seem to also remember also it being the game after the Anfield game and Rioch was upset by the (small) size of the crowd.officer_dibble wrote:Shilton I reckon was player manager at plymouth a couple of seasons before he joined us on loan and we played them. Hsssht, we store up the good memories for times like these.

Knock yourself out and go off forum if you wish.

Mate, it's not about going off topic. It's that whenever you go off topic, you only have one place to go to. Also add in your spelling and your often skewed-beyond-belief views.

Boggers had a good game for Hungry last night beating the Czech Republic.

Plymouth was indeed first game after Anfield, we won 3-1 to jump from ninth to sixth on our inexorable climb from 18th in October to 2nd in May

Five internet points if you can name the team who beat us 3-1 away in between the two games against Liverpool... our only loss in 14 league games...
