If this Mrs. KD is half as bad as you all say (I've never read her twittering), she might be in for a bit of a shock in Toronto, especially after the Leafs made the playoffs this season. Football is quite a ways down on the totem pole when it comes to professional sport in Toronto.

Ah, that'll be why the deal's off then. She's held a couple of Tupperware parties and thinks she's Karren Brady. :)

"Legal advice" scuppered the deal? Strange.

Said someone put obstacles in the way. Sounds like a dig to me.

Yeah, legal advice from his wife 'If you got to Canada, I'll divorce you and take half of everything.'

The obstacle probably involved movement, not Davo's strong point

For legal advice read 'I would be out of pocket'. My bet is some sort of tax issue that would have hit harder than he initially expected.

I would think he's probably contractually due something if he stays to the bitter end. Or somebody thinks he could get something.

Either way, I'm bored now.

His Bolton career's finished, but I'm glad it's this way. Ten minute cameo at the end of the Blackpool game and go out as he deserves. Doubt we'll see his like again. Well done and thanks a bunch Sir. :davies:

People at Talksport should be roundly whipped.

There may be some truth in that. If she's not got work lined up, she'd have to stay put until he pays a certain amount of tax or something. Or can prove with his pay slips that he can support her without government help.

While I'm not entirely familiar with the law in this area, the scenario seems improbable.

My mate who plays there wasn't allowed to have his missus live with him until months after he'd signed

I suspect he has enough in the bank to show she won't be a drain on the Canadianshire benefit system.
