perhaps I'd better make it clear that when I said we'd never met them in the cup, I was excluding the occasions when we had met them in the cup...

I hope this clears things up!

Aye, because even though you pay the full licence fee you can only listen to the BBC in 'your' area*

*or in other words 'you can't'.

Sometimes you can get by tuning into the local radio for 'that' area.

What is their area?
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

A lad from our school (Simon Doig) came with us and said it was 'boring' so while we enjoyed a nine-goal unthriller he sat and did his maths homework. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Maths was an orange book.

I used to love going to games at this time, not because they were very good (they often weren't) but it was the real start of me going to football with my granddad. We always had goals 84/85 we had F69 A75 and you could sit practically anywhere you wanted.

I think it was £1.20 for me to get in.

Really happy days.

 Wasn't even born

Erm :conf:

There seems to be a slight discrepancy around 20 games here. Have I missed something?

edit - Just reading those stats noticed that the last time we did (or didn't - your choice) played them in the cup was the 4-3 agg win in the LC 2nd round.

This was a giant killing at the time as they were a division two side. If memory serves we were losing one-nil (2-3 agg) when against all the odds the Supers dug in and turned it around.

MotM was Jeff Chandler who curled in an excellent equaliser on the night to send the 5,500 strong crowd in to raptures and the Whites through to the next round.

Which was against Notts County.

Bugger.

Where? I only see a discussion on us meeting in the cup, not the numbers being all-to-cock. Enlighten me!

So we've won 19 of them and Shrewsbury managed to win the remaining fixture a staggering 17 times?

Well its common practice, in these sort of things, to put:

Played (so far so good)
Won (so far so not so good, how many have we won, how many they?)
Score For:Against

I give you 1/3, must do better.

Anyway, how many have we won?
