Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:There could be changes, DF has long banged on about having a squad of players for these three-game weeks.

I can see the point in going with a less attacking line-up than midweek's: Beckford isn't the most defensive striker (Cravies works harder, Ngog arguably holds the ball up more) and Hall may, for now, be the kind of chap you play at home but not for 90 away minutes. And Pratley, of course, will run all day long, to varying effect.

I do worry that the rumoured 11 would be incredibly narrow - Ream, Medo, Spearing and Pratley, just Eagles with (natural) width - but if it works I'll be delighted.

Come on you Trotters.
If you use the full backs for width (which on evidence so far seems fair as both Tierney and Baptiste are more than comfortable going forward) then the midfield doesn't need as much width. You have Eagles roaming around based on what the full backs are doing, allowing for options on both sides.

It does require your full backs to be very disciplined and organised though, knowing when to attack and when to hold off. I'm not convinced our lads have those qualities in spades.

I'm convinced reverting to the old idea of full back staying back and using wingers in more forward roles would both tighten the defence and give us options to break quicker.

#BWFC subs: Lonergan, Beckford, Hall, Knight, Odelusi, Kellett, Medo

Not happy with the team news being leaked early again.

Glad that Knight gets to sit on the bench again. Less happy with Ngog getting a start. Is Cravies injured?

I'm sure I read that he's done his ankle in. May be wrong though.

Shame. He's a bit functional, but I think he's more likely to score than the others right now.

Not unhappy to see Pratley in there. Not sure just which role he'll play though. If he's getting forward, Ream will have to hold back a bit. It'll be him Eagles or Chungy to score then. I have no faith in N'gog. I agree to wishing Craig Davies was fit.

I've not made a prediction for this game yet, so here goes.....

Later on I'll be drunk on Strongbow and thoroughly pissed off.

Think someone jumped in front of a train off a bridge, so probably in this case not the train companies fault!

Why didn't you post that yesterday? I could've had him gagged and bound in my cellar if you've given me fair warning.
