Lostock Lane, bobo the clown wrote:OK ... for those able & willing to meet up after the game for a pint .... though popping up to Horwich would be nice coz it's a bit different (unless you're Lever Ender who, it seems, only took up running so he could complete the Horwich pub-crawl all the quicker) there are a fair few who for reasons of transport would find that difficult or inconvenient so it seems it seems Barnstormers a.k.a the Royal Oak is the best fit. For those unsure, it's the one on Lostock Lane 100m from the traffic lights, opposite what used to be the entrance to de Havilland.
So, Barnstorners it needs to be.
We can then enjoy Will moaning about the beer and the queues. Always enjoyable.
See some of you there. It's Bruce's round.

Tickets for this fixture are now on restricted sale. Those supporters wishing to purchase tickets must have a previous booking history excluding Birmingham City and/or have registared with us prior to Monday 28th April 2014.

Guess it's to stop millions of them ending up in the home end with it being such a big game.
Spose they've got to, sad as it is.

Can't say I've ever noticed the Barnstormers then, but I'm loke that when I'm driving, I see the road but not what's by it - I quite often have weird arguments with the missus along lines generated by this malaise.LeverEnd wrote:That's further down and is shut.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Lostock Lane, bobo the clown wrote:OK ... for those able & willing to meet up after the game for a pint .... though popping up to Horwich would be nice coz it's a bit different (unless you're Lever Ender who, it seems, only took up running so he could complete the Horwich pub-crawl all the quicker) there are a fair few who for reasons of transport would find that difficult or inconvenient so it seems it seems Barnstormers a.k.a the Royal Oak is the best fit. How odd. Certainly, I'm not registered under this new scheme but they did have mine & the Mrs' details (presumably as former ST holders) if they were worried about me being a closet Brummy. So tickets still available if you have registered with the club prior to 28th April. An afternoon with Jeff Stelling & Tango it is then!BWFC_Insane wrote:According to the official site...Harry Genshaw wrote:I couldn't commit because I didn't have a ticket. Might be worth ringing up and explaining.....I'm sure there is no special registration process, just a previous buying history that past season tickets should satisfy...Harry Genshaw wrote:How odd. Barnstormers works for me; I park directly opposite.
I've never met anyone else off here though so how will I know you all? Who's wearing the flower in the lapel, and will it squirt water at me if I look too closely?

Some young(er) fitter, less tired ... & cynical.
All trying to avoid being spotted by a 6'5" geezer with a guitar.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Stubbly beard and head with a kind of balding island at the top of my forehead which a kid in my special needs class once told me looked like 'this bird's muff in one of me brother's pornos'. I borrowed the DVD, he had a point.

Not sure why you've chosen the pub that will be 1st, or possibly 2nd on the Zulu relegation rampage but should make it interesting.
