If Cassado is playing I'd expect it's more that Derik will be at full back.

I'd expect ... and hope. Though to be fair the 3 at the back depends on the players to make it work. I don't see that being the case if Wheater's one of the 3 though.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

On the plus side that looks a little stronger midfield than we've had recently.

Away they go. 3-5-2 being quoted. The homers kick it off. All black and gold for us today. Silva getting early mention for good then bad acts. Joey Barton fouls Pratley, that's a surprise. Here we go and....ohhhhh, keeper makes a cracking save from a Danns rasper. Corner and......cleared. We sound lively at the start and....sally forth. Derrick gets an early mention as we attack.

Quick free kick for a foul on Madine and Silva hits a half volley that's cleared. Throw us from their goal kick ( well the man said so) and...now a free kick. ...and Silva wins another one. And....and.....Feeney and......cleared but back in and....the keeper clears. Spearing "goes in hard" on Barton (get in) and we don't get a corner shout. "Good start for the Wanderers" says micman as Madine is called offside. Amos ends up with it and micman states we have 1800 faithfuls...A bit of good sounding att acking from us but again the keeper clears.

We sally again and win a throw but the clarets try an attack and Wheater knocks it out for a throw. Ends with our goal kick. (Elsewhere Dingles have had a man sent off already apparently) Throw us sets it off but Barton get them going. Persistence shoos em back to their half before they come again and get a throw. Feeney savages a Claret and they get a free. And....and...Casado knocks it out for a corner. They have a bit of possesion and try for a penalty shout with a dive that becomes our goal kick. We come again and Derik gets one in but it gets smothered and they clear. Amos shephards one out for a goal kick. Pratley visits, now Feeney and....we get a corner. Sounds like we've done the pressing, so come on and lets get a goal. Our corner cleared and we get a throw. Decent possesion but they clear and Grey does well, turns Dervite inside out and shoots just wide.

Dervite getting a mention for lack of pace. Bit of back and forth gets us a throw. Feeney tries but it goes out for a goal kick. Grey getting mentioned a time or two for them. Now we go again and....cleared. Grey cons the ref (the man says) and Wheater not pleased. Is Grey a top bomber? Some prattle about other games then, they have a sally at us but Silva does well and gets mobbed by Barton and xxxxxxx? an unprounouncable. Barton talks himself into the ref's book. Good, that's one card for him. Free kick us and.....and.....some box action and.....the ref gives them a free kick to mic man's surprise. Barton and Pratley involved. Amos leathers one forth for a homer throw and....a bit of Claret action ends in a throw. They have the ball and sally forth. Good cross and Wheater knocks it out for a corner. And....the ref gives Amos a free for interference on him.

Mic man claiming we're doing well so we need to make it count. Spearing does well, then Deryk, then Feeney and....the ref gives them a free against Madine. And now, they come and....Spearing attacks a Claret and they both his the deck. Spearing got a wallop there and is rubbing his calf. Barton still harassing the ref...go on lad. Physios on, so a break. We get underway and Feeney clears from Barton. They move forward with Barton getting mentioned again and now we get a free as Pratley is fouled by Keene? And Feeney and....Wheater takes to long and it's cleared. Spearing looks to be out of it injured with Vela and Mark Davies mentioned. Ant it looks like Davies.

Pity that as Spearing sounded to be playing well. Pratley wins us a corner and Silva comes to take it. And.....and....ohhhh Feeney volleys and the keeper beats it out for Madine to get another effort in. Sounded like we almost got one there. We clear badly and a Claret volley whistles past the post. Amos was struggling there apparently. Five to go and we try again. Ref ignores a Madine claim for a foul then gives a free to them against Mark Davies. Bit of possesion for them then cleared but not convincingly and....Grey loses out to Amos. Long ball wallop sets some to and fro off that lets them have some possession. Wheater saves the day off the line before we sally forth and it ends up with their keeper. They come again and we try again from deep and.......Davies tries one from distance that gets saved. Now they show some interest again and Deryk has to give away a corner. And....and....Amos catches it and sends Casado away. Silva Danns, Dervite and....Madine gets a knock on the head. He's not too happy at the ref, says mic man. And, with the seconds ticking away they add two minutes. Wheater clears and Dervite clears. Barton muscles Pratley off the ball and they come at us again. Barton mentioned again as they have a bit of possesion before Dervite clears. Barton again and.....now a goal kick to us as the half ends. 0-0.

Well that's another problem... when we do hit the target we let the others score even more!

Second half at the Moor. Us to kick off. And.....mention of pies in the box....oh. commentary box, right. The gladiators are out and....away we go....An ariel wallop gets returned with gusto and we have a throw. We go forth and.....Feeney, then Silva after a good approach wallops a Wigan way over. We come again and have some possession, Silva and Casad, now Davies and....Silva and....and a sliced clearance is wasted as Pratley gives away a free and......the ref getting aome mention for innatention to a few hefty challenges. Grey tries again for a free kick but it doesn't happen. are we going to see young Clayton this half one wonders? Some micman chatter about all things footb all before Silva goes and...the ref claims he dived on the edge. Now we get a free and Grey gets done for manhandling. Throw them and....Wheater clears and we get a throw in their half. Crowd sound to be waking up as they now have a throw and...and...another and...Barton gives it away but they claim it back. Aparently we're not getting many decisions but now we have a nice run of play and....cleared for a throw. Dervite sallies it and Madine mis-heads it for a goal kick. They come again and.....Grey forces a brilliant save from Amos and,,,suddenly it is in the net from a Grey tap in after two great saves. 1-0 to them

Lennon has known about this for long enough, its a major issue not being addressed - the lack of a finisher will cost us this season.

We never play for 90 mins, it sounds like we've played decent in the 1st half so we all know what's likely to happen 2nd half !!

Edited - they score as I submit, just fcuking predictable....
