fecking come on! Dapo Afolayan is some player.
Yeah, his vision is immense at times.

Nice to see the ref booking their keeper for that sprint at him.

Very well, superb at times. We’ve just been our own worst enemy at times, giving the ball away cheaply in dangerous areas for Cambridge.

Yes, we could easily have been two or three nil up.

Another superb half. Should be out of sight. Need to be ruthless now and get the job done.

Dominated.

12 shots. 2 on target. 1 goal.

That said, Cambridge have had a couple of dangerous moments. Mainly from our gift of possession.

COYWM!!!

It’s one of those were we have had so much of the ball going forward it’s almost inevitable that we look half asleep when they attack. Santos missed a header when they hit the bar, MJ let their player dribble straight through him…if we can get a second (and we really should with all these chances) that’s game over. Would like to see Dad bod and Sadlier get decent minutes. Get a second nice and early and settle it.

Lots of positive intent. When we start aimlessly passing the ball round the back is when we look vulnerable. We aren’t in those instances moving them side to side. We are just playing slowly and without intent. Most of that comes from Santos. Who lacks urgency.

But generally we’ve done really well against a side sitting back. Could be out of sight.

But in fairness they hit the post from our own messing. So you know.

But yeah we look a threat going forwards. Dapo not in the game as a number 10 enough and the position doesn’t feel quite right for him.

That first half was - perhaps unsurprisingly given both clubs are still under the same management - very reminiscent of the first half of last season's home fixture.

We have dominated. But I'm not updating the League ladder on my bedroom wall yet. Need to remember to defend but we only had one more than this at HT on Saturday...

I thought exactly the same. Hopefully the 2nd half result from that game isn’t repeated…

Indeed. I could really do without us clinging on to a one goal lead for the last ten minutes. I would, of course, take it, though.
