Mental. Anyway here’s hoping he scores again. Get us out of this shite

Played a lot in the first half of that second season. Not that there was decent out put from his efforts.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:44 pmNah mate he saw out his two-year contract, so he overlapped with James Trafford, which seems like a different era. Right up to the end of the second season he was on the bench almost every week.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:41 pmDid he really?! I thought he only turned out for us in that league two season.

Well, given we've been talking about Liam Gordon more than what is actually going on in this match, it's hardly surprising we're heading out. Nothing particularly effective going forward.
Screw this competition. Sort out the league!
If we're going to bow out, we should've done it with youth teamers.

Sounds like we've got what we deserved. I think we can say Santos has to start all games.

I mean they're no Tamworth, but yeah we'll probably be quite early on Match of the DayWorthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:53 pmHello headlinesDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:39 pmSouthwood down injured. Child on the bench. Hello headlines.... maybe not, Southwood continues.

Have we been told to bow out of the cups?

No we’ve clearly given it a good go and I don’t know how many players they have rested either. And it’s never a good feeling to lose. But head on this one is it’s the right thing to do.

Always was going to be tricky when they're in such good form. Ah well. FT 2-1.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:57 pmNo we’ve clearly given it a good go and I don’t know how many players they have rested either. And it’s never a good feeling to lose. Game over. Annoyed as we should be getting past Walsall but fair play to them, conceded and as per FA cup, went for it.
There might be a fair few happy about it but the league results need to continue.

Meh. Sounds like they deserved it so fair play. As above, needs to be a win next Saturday now.

If so, that's two out of three done and the other's in in our hands a week on Tuesday - if Fleetwood beat us they'll go through instead of us

Really will be irrelevant in grand scheme. Less games we play the better. Only one thing matters and that’s getting out of this league. Everything else a total irrelevance.

Yep the days of cup and league runs going hand in hand are done for this level. We’ll either have a free weekend or be able to rearrange that Rotherham game for the date of the second round. I have no idea how Rotherham have got on!

I don't like losing any game but I'm not arsed about this result. One less distraction. As long as we get a result against Stockport that's what matters more.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!
And the key to a result is a good

Well we got knocked out and gave zero minutes to the kids, so I’m not amazingly happy. However, I’m also not particularly sad. On to Stockport.
