A very Athletic affair. Home to Charlton Tues, 21st Jan, 19-45.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Wtf is wrong with this bloke?
Which one?
El Capitano.
Youthful over energetic inexperience. He is desperate for this to work, for the fans and the manager. I know we don't think it but there are some who like him(IE).

5 shots on target. In one half of football. I say again 5 shots on target in one half.

Edit: just realised the slide changed as I took it and I look like a tit.

DadBod has scored on his debut for Burton.

A blatant penalty, but it's us, so no surprise we didn't get it. We need to be more clinical with finishing and quite soon too. Get ahead. We're not playing badly but fast wingers are causing us trouble.

Not bad, just need to swap Randall and Collins for a target man and a finisher with pace and we'd almost look decent. Too late to send him back?

It definitely looks like 4 at the back at times. JDC is so far wide and back with tutu ahead and not dropping back. Other times you can see a clear 3 at the back. Maybe more of a tweak than anything else.

Sheehan has been superb. So have a few others. It's not vintage, it's not bad.

He’s 24, not fecking 17. And if he wants to remain captain he really needs to sort his discipline out.

Matete's due a run out. Certainly warranted keeping his spot before getting ousted.

Have faith that Thomason can keep himself on the pitch, but i'd rather see Matete given his previous form.

Southwood’s ability with the ball at his feet actually makes a big difference to the speed at which we can get out from the back.

Great play by Forrester there. All but the finish. Lovely breakaway and effort from the players.

I'd love it if we started our singing by replacing

Sideways and backwards, everywhere we go

with

Sideways and forwards, everywhere we go

Would certainly be Bolton esque tongue in cheek.

Time to revisit the kettle.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

Alright lads, there’s “getting it forward early” and there’s just “hacking it into space”
