Re: Day of Destiny/Doomsday: Stoke away
Can't say we haven't deserved to go down this season though. We've been shit too many times to deserve anything. If anything we've been lucky there are so many shit teams this season, otherwise we'd have been gone several games ago.
There'll be a big clearout and we might just get back to loving our football again. Lets face it, apart from a few months, we haven't loved much about our football for quite a few years. Sure it'll hurt. It'll feel shit in August, but by the end of October we'll have enjoyed some cracking matches and not gone into every game fearing the worst. Heck...we might even have a midfield

Same here. Whole season were going to this. Can't be too surprised.Sponge wrote:Anybody else surprisingly calm?
Actually, this is probably the most hurting scenario we could ever imagine. Tough to be Bolton fan today.
We'll be back!

Yeah. Fat lady's been clearing her throat all week.Sponge wrote:Anybody else surprisingly calm?
I just wanna say bye to an absolutely first class horrific season now and start fresh in August. Get rid of the dead wood (inc. Coyle) and start again. Gutted but not surprised. I reckon this has been coming for a few years now...it's just caught up with us now.

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
the cruellest of endings....
I was kinda resigned to it when I knew that stoke's equaliser didn't really affect anything - but when citeh scored their winner - suddenly it meant everything - and it was soft as feck - and we should not have been relegated... now I'm pissed off...

it started with stoke it ended with stoke
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience
Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
That first goal and bad refereeing has cost us survival. Mind you, being crap for most of the season did that. Loving seeing the scum fans and players celebrating then word getting through of city's 2 in a minute!!
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
knew we wouldent have it in the team to beat stoke
somehow i hoped for some miracle after the dire season we have had but all injuries aside we deserved to go down after those last 2 matches throwing away the lead in both is just inexcusable.
city deserved the prem title
bolton deserved to be relegated
strangely so did qpr in my oppinion but the luck was with them it seems, didnt manage to watch the bolton match i hear the ref was a wanker ,,, no surprise there then.

the only thing that could possibly make this feel worse is for BWFCi to totter along and tell us that he told us all along....

Er, is it okay to support Blackpool for their next game? LMAO

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.
Re: Day of Destiny/Doomsday: Stoke away
Also bemused. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume Sordell he hasn't been showing it in training, but in those twenty minutes he looked sharper than any of our strikers this season.Ianmooreslovechild wrote:You couldnt make it up. Missed their equaliser. On balance though over the year we werent good enough. Not bad today. Sordell looks sharp enough to make you wonder what coyle is playing at. Cant say we havent had our chances. Just completely failed to take them.Whookam wrote:Meh.
Coyle can feck off now.
City 3-2 up.

Can't blame nine months on Chris Foy, as shite as he was. The three poorest teams have gone down. However, despite the injuries, a bit more nous from the management ought to have been enough to keep us up. Ah well...
Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
Practically resigned to it in November. Statistics, history etc was all against us. That record of no team having survived with 9 points or less after 16 games still stands.CrazyHorse wrote:Aye. Been expecting it for months.Sponge wrote:Anybody else surprisingly calm?

And I can't even have a drink to numb the pain

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
Wait for the pictures of the crying United supporters – everything will then feel OK.

I'm surprisingly calm. Didn't watch the game because of nerves. Interesting season ahead of us, hopefully we'll spring back up and looking at the team we potentially have it could be a lot worse.
Pfffft.

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
He was in charge for 90 minutes and if he had made two correct calls, we would have won 2-0. The other 37 games we were poor but if things had gone the right way today, we'd have stayed up.Little Green Man wrote:Can't blame nine months on Chris Foy, as shite as he was. Bad referee. He wasn't at fault for our poor performances during the rest of the season but if he had made the right calls today, we'd still be up.
