though - to be fair - we have also been linked with Remi Mareval this week - who is a defender...
Correct, who signed for Genk yesterday. Was on the books of Oldham at one point in his career.

Does our scout live on Elland Road? We seem to be linked with a different Leedser every week in every window, and it never comes off...

Possibly the only left back in the world worse than Robbo atm.

Dunno about that* but he's 31, so it would be very unCoyle.

Coyle in the Mirror:
Ream is a ready-made replacement for Gary Cahill and Coyle is excited by the prospect after seeing him in training as they wait for the transfer to be given government approval.

He said: "Tim is 24, but that is really 21 in British terms, because they go to college over there first. He came out top in our tests and recorded the best times - even better than Daniel Sturridge who was here.

"Tim has a lot of attributes and the sooner we get the move tied up the better. We know he can improve here, players from America have that freshness, they have a hunger to show what they are worth."

Presumably that's the how-long-can-you-keep-a-ping-pong-ball-bouncing test.

Someone asked Nixon about this...

His answer...

"More chance of Joan"...

He then used the same joke using Edwin and Phill instead of Joan....

To be fair to the man he does seem to reply to a hell of a lot. Mostly muppets asking the same question that he's just answered.

hmmmm.... but IS he a left back???

here's what the Stokies think anyway...
collins to bolton
according to daily mail
happy days :)
Hope so. It should seal their fate.
I still haven't forgiven the liability for the pen he gave away up there.
agree binndy, good move for him.
bit of a step backwards though for bolton.
loose cahill and gain collins
A team who mythically "play football" and a defender who's mythically "good on the ball".
They're perfect for each other.
What a lovely nail in their coffin this would be.
We should all where Danny Collins T-Shirts tomorrow.
(included just because of the SHOCKING spelling!!)
Sums up Owen Coyles knowledge of football.

His answer to the threat of relegation is to strengthen his defence with Danny Collins!!!!
He clearly hasn't studied Ipswich's defensive performances this season
Does anybody know how much we have to pay Bolton for the transfer fee?
I reckon he'll play at left back as Bolton currently have the worst one in the Prem in Robinson.
I'm working in bolton tomorrow i will drive him myself
This could be the worst thing to happen to Bolton since 1946.
<<Steps forward>>

Here's my effort, although it seems I may be in breach of copyright??

Officially copyrighted by The South Shields Sunderland Supporters branch!!
We hate a love supreme!!!

For Brazil Bolton he should play Danny Collins,
For Brazil Bolton he should play he should play up front
For Brazil Bolton he should play Danny Collins,
Danny Collins what a skillful useless C*nt!!
I used to have half a soft-spot for the Stoke fans - but it seems they are turning into billy-big-b0ll0ck shoitehawks...

HOWEVER....
He's a shite left back, even I acknowledge that. He is a very capable centre half though, how many times did he play there for us? I think then and only then when we've seen him in his best position, can we criticise him.

It's like calling Cresswell shit because he played the majority of the season on the left wing when everyone knows he's a centre forward.
I seem to remember the Sunderland fans thought he was okay when we got him. He seems to have done okay at Ipswich. Maybe it was a DNA issue. Maybe it was us playing a CB at left back.

Stoke fans, don't like us because we have a reputation for playing passing on the ground football (when we don't) and they have a reputation for playing lump it long in your faces football (which they do to some extent but not as much as is made out) but you know, exactly how we were when Allardyce was manager. I remember on here instant dislike for sides who got the "they play nice football as opposed to those Bolton bullys".

they are worse than we were under allardyce

plus a much larfer percentage than usual of yheir support is sub human

however from that oatcake site i assume because they can use the internet those are the ok fans. Usually seem alright and I would be happy to trust their judgement on collins...he is a fecking useless lump like robbo. Unlike knight he may be committed so maybe as a centre half? But Coyle says Ream is ready. Can only see it as a bullshit made up story to fill a column.

Anything to get Knight out of the side though...I read he attempted (and failed) just TWO tackles on saturday (Wheater made 8). Absolutely dissinterested a complete wet c*nt of a man.

Pratley would only be a couple of divisions out of his depth then.

The Oracle is going to announce another one of our targets in the Mirror tonight. Anyone think it could be Rivaldo? Bierhoff? Or another Leeds player?
Pfffft.

A 31 year old Stoke reserve? I'm in agreement with the the Stoke lot, that WOULD be the final nail.
