Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
What was the point in letting him go and then having to resign him. Good to see the website I found is becoming useful. I will troll through Transfermarkt for my recommendations to Dougie and the forum at some point in the summer.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

This Lloyd Dyer rumour is growing....could he be one of the two that Freedman is 'apparently' 75% of the way to getting ?
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
he was only a baby when we let him go (not like Per Frandsen) - he's got more experience behind him now. i can't remember anyone boycotting the reebok when we let him go - similarly I can't imagine anyone will unfurl a Basham - the Chosen One banner if he returns.. but if he's developed into a solid no-nonsense midfielder who wants to play for us - then I'm happy enough.bwfcdan94 wrote:What was the point in letting him go and then having to resign him.

That would be pretty decent if correct.Peter Thompson wrote:This Lloyd Dyer rumour is growing....could he be one of the two that Freedman is 'apparently' 75% of the way to getting ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
The Cl sound (which when done properly doesn't sound like cl) applys to Llewelwyn (Clewelwyn) amongst others. Not just Llandudno (Clandidno). Confusing isn't it?TKIZ! wrote:
True. I thought the 'LL' was a 'clan' sound. Bobo, what's the correct pronunciation of the 'LL'
Anyway. Bobo will be along to set us right

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
it's impossible to spell it phonetically being as there is no letter or combinations of letters in English that makes the same sound...TKIZ! wrote:

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
The pronunciation would be "Loyd" as we all would know it.
The actual name Lloyd comes from the area in the North-East of Wales, once a County, Clwyd and is a development from that. The river Clwydis the origin of that name.
Those in South Wales say that almost as "Cloyd" whereas in the actual area it's said as "Clue-Wid'.
Lloyd if said in a Welsh manner, which it wouldn't be .... would be "Cl-Oid" with a slight 'h' sound as you say the 'Cl' ... not an absolute 'h' just something which sort of softens the 'Cl' a little.
That pronunciation is quite different from how you'd properly say Llangollen or Llandudno.
Thise woukd be "hl-an-goth-len" and "hlan-did-no".
There .... you did ask.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Not seen any of the Dyer rumours, but I'd be very unimpressed if we signed him.
Don't rate him, he can run fast but often lacks end product, isn't what we need for me.
Wrong age too for a player that I think is often on the edge of games and not integral. By all means an older Danns who can be very influential is fine. But Dyer as an in and out winger at his age doesn't grab me at all.
Would be pretty worried if we signed him to be honest.

Hasn't he scored against us in the last 3 games we have played against Leicester?
This season he has scored 10 and assisted 8. Contributing to 18 goals in a season is hardly lack of end product.

Dyer would be ok to add to the squad, depends on if he wants to come though and what wages he'd want?
