Well, that's the end of any Liverpool support then.

Apparently Fab has been having a kick-around in his garden and juggling with the ball.

A source close to Fabrice said he nearly broke his own personal keep uppy best of 2 but failed when he blasted over the fence into next doors garden.

Why on earth would we judge him for this after what he's been through?plymouth wanderer wrote:i do hope so bit shitty otherwiseohjimmyjimmy wrote:Maybe the interview money is going to charity / the chest hospital?
What if he's just thinking about his family when he's unlikely to play professional football again?

Wasn't it The Sun that printed that horrible picture of Muamba in clear sight, prone on the pitch? I remember there was some sort of uproar on ye olde Facebook about it.

I'd be surprised if all the top players were not insured against a serious/career threatening injury so he should be financially secure, i know their employers will be.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Why on earth would we judge him for this after what he's been through?plymouth wanderer wrote:i do hope so bit shitty otherwiseohjimmyjimmy wrote:Maybe the interview money is going to charity / the chest hospital?

Personally I struggle to envisage what such an insurance policy would like. Lots of questions like "Would he be obliged to mitigate his loss by potentially risking his life to carry on playing?" or "How is that one can insure against injury but not loss of form or simply falling out of favour?".
I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has any insight into footballers' insurance arrangements. My feeling is they'd all be better off investing a portion of their earnings than buying insurance, but I am pretty ignorant on the subject.
Whatever - I think Fabrice is entitled to decide what's best for him and his family without it being described as 'shitty', especially by someone who behaved at the time of the incident as if it was the most exciting thing that had happened to him in years.

What the fvck are you going on about fella
You got an opinion and so have i
for starters i don't think fabrice is short of a few bob so i doubt 20k or so is gonna make a huge difference plus i do believe footballers have insurance
it fvcks me of even more that its the sun he sold his story too after they published pictures of him which i thought (and many others) was totally unnecessary (and they have done so again today) they are the lowest of the low
As coyle said everyone still needs to respect his and his familys privacy but its Moo who's sold his story maybe im abit out of line but it's my opinion
As my mate said this morning he's getting abit fed up with it now as its everywhere and i agree i wished him all the best in the world and don't mistake me i still do and was shocked as anyone and used to get home from work and put on SSN for any news on fab but enough is enough and if you or anyone else does't like it then bollocks to ya
he should be just left alone with his family to recover and live his life
so im sorry if i find it abit SHITTY!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Fabrice Muamba
Some newspaper was always going to tell the story and the Sun probably had somebody in his room disguised as an oxygen cylinder to make sure they got in first.. Would anybody have cared what Muamba did a couple of weeks back, when he was at death's door and we were all praying for him to live? Good luck to him whatever he does. Knocking him now on pure specualtion is a very cheap shot in my book.
