Yes there is a loan window to follow iirc.

We've signed a young keeper from United on loan for a month because Boggers fell awkwardly in training and is out for 6 weeks. Gutted for Boggy - I thought he was set for a much deserved run in the first team.

I'd also recall Spearing this afternoon too.

This is great, we clearly need to get rid of some lumber right near the end of the window.clapton is god wrote:And Hull in for Chungy:

Has spearing hone yet?
The dingles will be limited to what they can offer due to FFP.

Spearing out to Blackburn for the season is confirmed by the club.
Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
Hmmm interesting one.
I think Spearing thinks he is better than what he actually is and doesn't fit in with how Lennon wants us to play.
If we don't get some bodies in though it will be a puzzling one.

I'll bring my boots tomorrow - you never know. I'm 6ft - 3ins and 14 stone.
Sadly I'm 63 which might count against me.

Quite so, which is why I wondered about Baptiste - weren't they worried earlier in the window that we'd take him back? (Not that we're short at centre-back, or rolling in dough ourselves.)jaffka wrote:Has spearing hone yet?

Strange that he doesn't fit Lennon's style - he was sold to us a Getting Stuck In and Running Around A Lot type - but oh well. I reckon it might be more about wages - as he arrived under Coyle and was signed before the wage freeze it wouldn't surprise me if he's on one of the larger salaries. So is Chungy, but LCY offers something we're short of, whereas "creatively limited central midfielders" we're knee-deep in – so NL has opted to ease him toward the door (loan to run down contract, a la Andrews).

He runs around a lot, unfortunately, that's 20 yards away from where he should be running around a lot. We're a poorer side with him in my opinion. Seems that penalty-gate was the final straw for LennonDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Quite so, which is why I wondered about Baptiste - weren't they worried earlier in the window that we'd take him back? Penaltygate?
He hasn't started for us since being subbed at HT at Norwich... a fortnight after Lennon wanted him (as a "technical" player) to take the spot-kick Cravies missed at Birmingham...

I would have one major problem passing for Emile but, as the PC brigade will probably jump on me, I won't mention what it isboltonboris wrote:You've just described Emile Heskey, so I think you're all setBruno3 wrote:I'll bring my boots tomorrow - you never know. I'm 6ft - 3ins and 14 stone.
