Not sure the content is quite as dramatic as the headline would suggest. Coyle asking Cahill to stay till the summer which sounds sensible all round.

Bit at the bottom caught my eye.
Coyle is planning to sign a new centre-half in the window, but it will be as an eventual replacement for Cahill.
I wonder who he has in mind?
Aston Villa?

Most of the Arsenal fans on my forum are keen for Vela to go to Bolton on loan, they think it would be good for him, as one gooner so delicately puts it...
Vela needs some northern schooling, a pint of bitter and a deep fried mars bar... that'll put some hair on his dick!
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... s-criteria" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Carlos Vela will only go on loan to a top-level club who can guarantee him playing time, according to Arsène Wenger.

On New Year’s Eve, the Arsenal manager confirmed that the Mexican striker would be allowed to make a temporary transfer in January to maintain his sharpness. Bolton manager Owen Coyle has already shown an interest in taking him to the Reebok Stadium and certainly Jack Wilshere benefitted from a similar spell with the Lancashire side last season.

But, at Tuesday’s press conference, Wenger spelt out the specific conditions that have to be met for Vela to move.

“I want Carlos to play at the top, top level and the club who gives me the biggest guarantee to play will have the chance to sign him,” said the Arsenal manager.

“I would expect it to happen in early January because Carlos is keen to play. He has been patient and worked very hard – he has matured a lot and changed a lot in a positive way.

“Bolton is one of the clubs that has shown an interest but we have many clubs that have shown interest and I am not surprised.

“He is a fantastic talent. I do not want to lose him and I want him now to get experience.”

Sorry, no guarantees on starting here. We've got one of the best strike partnerships in the league.

Are you calling Wenger a liar?

Reading between the lines I reckon Arsene would be keen for Vela to come here but the player probably prefers the rumoured Valencia interest. And I'd not be surprised to see him go to West Ham either.

Think Wilshere had the choice of here or West Ham but I reckon Coyle already had him lined up for Burnley and Wilshere is a tough so and so.

Not so sure Vela will fancy it ooop north.

Time will tell.

I'd take Vela.
I'd take Macheda.
I'd take any of them.

Huge Spanish contingent in Manc though, the Spanish Language school on Deansgate always has stuff on for ex-pat Spanish.

But just watching SSN, Spammers in talks with Hoffenheim striker, Ba so no guarantee of first team football there either
