leaving aside preferences over manU or manCiteh winning the league - and TBH I don't really give a shit which of the pile-of-wankers wins it..

I'm not so sure it makes a huge difference..

if they are no longer in the race by the time they play QPR - they may well be playing "for pride" - more relaxed and with summat to prove.

if they are still in the race - they might be playing tensely and nervously with the unfamiliar weight of expectation on their shoulders...

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, QPR have a very winnable game against a Stoke side who have not been ripping up trees.

The same Stoke team we beat 5-0 when they travelled away to our place. Can't see them doing much against QPR, especially seeing that QPR have got a great home record lately.

I personally think Stoke will be out to either put one over on us like the 5-0's that have been flying around or not lose by that sort of margin on the final day of the season at which both teams will likely end up drawing. I certainly wouldn't imagine that they're out to do us any favours in the relegation department and seeing as they're playing QPR and Bolton and will ultimately have a say in who gets relegated. I'm not liking how thats playing out.

Everyone is assuming QPR beat Stoke which is a fair enough assumption.

WBA now not a low key game under the press radar with FA interest in Hodgson

The FA have just made our chant choices a little easier for the next 2 home games.

Wed - "There's only one Roy Hodgson"
Sun - "There's only one Harry Rednapp"

QPR will win their next game easily, cos Stoke are shit.

We'll lose our last game easily, cos Stoke are ace.

Stoke away is a bit of a different proposition to Stoke at home though.....

I think the last home game of the season against the team who tatered you 5-0 in the corresponding fixture this season, who themselves are under the pressure of potential relegation, so you know, you could twist the knife, will produce a different motivation from both players and crowd than say a meaningless end of season trip to West London.

Thats not a precis on the qualities of the current Stoke team per se, merely a recognition of the possible difference between their approach to the two fixtures.

They may not. My money, such as it is, is on the former.

DSB, I think we could get something out of the Stoke game if we need to. If say we were a point clear of QPR, I could see us getting something at Stoke.

If we were in the bottom three though, needing a win to give ourselves a chance....I'd fancy us far less. Its one thing going there thinking a point'll do it (if Man City let QPR sneak sommat) and we might not need it anyways, quite another going there with the pressure of needing 3 points to even have a chance......
