From thisisbristol.co.uk "Bolton: Craig Davies was at the Reebok Stadium for a medical today after Barnsley accepted a bid from the Trotters."

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Craig Dawson's loan is being held up by West Brom's defensive injuries, says the BN, quoting WBA boss Steve Clarke: “Craig [Dawson] would benefit from playing games and we’ve discussed him going out on a few occasions this season. But I have three defenders injured so there’s no way Craig can leave us just now.”

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I'm getting veeeeeeeeeeeeery confused now. Is Craig Davies the same or a different person to Craig Dawson (and how many Davies's and Craig's can one team accomodate)?

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Thank you for outputting my misery. That still leaves open the question how many Craig/Davies combinations can one team accomodate? We must have hit our quota.ChrisC wrote:Craig Davies = Barnsley striker.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I'm getting veeeeeeeeeeeeery confused now. I'm sure DSB will be pleased to provide the full offical FIFA policy wording for permitted Craigs and Davies in one team per season / calendar year

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
As many as you like, as long as their wages don't take you over your Financial Fair Play quota. So we need to earn more. Maybe sign the other Craig Davies. And Ray Davies, he'll be earning a bob or three.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:I'm sure DSB will be pleased to provide the full offical FIFA policy wording for permitted Craigs and Davies in one team per season / calendar year

Which is why there's a question mark over Warnock..Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:As many as you like, as long as their wages don't take you over your Financial Fair Play quota. So we need to earn more. Our budget won't stretch to anywhere near what Villa want us to put forward

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
January transfer windows used to be exciting (did they not?). This one is, so far, a little insipid. Outside of Bolton manoeuvres, only the Sturridge move has looked interesting.

@alex_lawes Davies is at club today. Gregus being finalised. Dawson on hold for a week. Tollas being worked on.
Pfffft.
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Agreed, but there are some big names supposedly unsettled (Modric, Aguero, Cavani, Balotelli). Maybe we will see atleast one big move involving the prem before it comes to an end, after all were only 8 days in so far.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:January transfer windows used to be exciting (did they not?). I've not had chance to peruse the internets today, I'm guessing we've already signed the busload of players that Nixon said were in the bag, right? So can we close this thread now?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

They decided to wait until you got back L.K. No doubt they'll all go ahead now.Lord Kangana wrote:I've not had chance to peruse the internets today, I'm guessing we've already signed the busload of players that Nixon said were in the bag, right? So can we close this thread now?

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Davies expected to be confirmed today according to the Bolton News ( to be honest I thought I saw him at last night's reserve game but I may be wrong):
Bolton news:
"Wanderers are also due to announce the £300,000 capture of Barnsley striker Craig Davies today.
The 26-year-old has already scored 11 goals for the struggling Tykes and will become Freedman's first permanent signing since taking charge.
Wales international Davies was at Euxton yesterday to meet his new team-mates for the first time and was waiting for paperwork to clear with the Football League before his signing was made public by the club.
His is the first of a handful of new names expected in the January window, with a centre-half believed to be next on Freedman's wish list.
West Brom defender Craig Dawson is still on the wanted list but the mounting injury situation at the Hawthorns is currently making that deal difficult to complete.
Southampton's Danny Butterfield, who was linked with the club at the weekend, is not believed to be on the shortlist."
