Maybe not. Trotter only had to imprint an inky hoof onto his contract.thebish wrote:bloody norah - they've obviously solved the pen-supply issue!Bruce Rioja wrote:Anyway - it has happened now. He's signed.

This is from less than three weeks agobobo the clown wrote:True ... the real risk is signing that slow-minded lump of lard.BWFC_Insane wrote:I was just pointing out that describing a signing that hasn't happened yet as a risk without knowing the details of an operation is a bit of a jump.
He didn't get operated on this week following an injury gained on Saturday. Far too soon for a tissue injury which would have to settle down before full diagnosis, let alone operating, so I guess it was pre-arranged.
Given our history with players joining us (Sean Davies) (or nearly joining us ... remember Ferrie Bodde ?) with existing injuries you'd want to be pretty sure of someone.
However, for anyone saying I'd take every opportunity to try and avoid signing Trotter ... "guilty yer 'onour".

Thank goodness we dodged that bullet and got Pratley instead !!
(I had read this, btw, & that he was now brought round and making progress. I'd wish him well from all that)

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, hope he recovers, but jeez, we thought Holden was unlucky!

These transfers are very uninspiring. Eagles out but Trotter and Westcarr possibly joining hardly points to a side expecting to be around the play-off spots.

He had 1 standout game in every 15 of abject shite. He wasn't worth the money we were paying him.

T'was an earlier nice person from the BEN.However, further investigation of it gives a link to something called Football Courier

So, hopefully, the big useless c*nt hasn't actually signed at all.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
He's a lot better than Trotter and whilst Eagles probably was on too much, I bet we're not going to pay Trotter much less than what Eagles will get elsewhere. It's not like the only chance we had to keep Eagles was to give him the exact same money, he'll be taking a big cut on his wages wherever he goes and we could have offered him something similar. I wouldn't even be surprised if we end up paying Trotter more than what Eagles will get elsewhere, so maybe it could have happened? Freedman obviously doesn't rate Eagles which is a shame as he was very good last season.truewhite15 wrote:Eagles was shite. Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
I am reliably told that Trotter was on £6k a week. No idea what Eagles was earning but looking at a few reports it suggests somewhere between £25K and £35K per week.
I find it impossible to believe that Eagles will go anywhere for even double the wages Trotter is on.
