They do tease.
Maybe the Rivaldo deal has finally gone through.

Two year deal*. The injuries are a big concern, just got to hope and pray he's over all that but I'm sceptical.
*"Initial two year deal" - so sounds like we have an option for another year if he does well.

Injuries for a goalkeeper?
Does that mean we're at risk of playing an outfield player with Evatt's tactics, or maybe he'll change accordingly.
Not sure if this is a good signing or not. I do however have faith in the scouting team so i'm feeling positive.

Good point - You'd think a 'keeper with questionable fitness record would have a green shirted colleague on the bench....

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
I’m delighted to be here. After seven years of loans, this will be my first permanent move so I’m really excited. This is the right time for me. I’m at a good age and it will be good to feel like I’m here for the long run and not just for a loan.
Bolton is a huge football club with a massive fan base. When I spoke to the gaffer, we both agreed that we both want to work at the top end of the game and Bolton has the ambition to get there, step-by-step.
The size of the club and the way it is run was a big factor for me. Working with the manager and goalkeeper coach, who have both worked high up in the game, was also important for me.
I had plenty of options, but I think coming to a club where I can be number one and play at the top end of the table is what I want to be a part of. It was a very quick conversation with the gaffer as my mind was made up quite quickly.
I’ve played with a few of the lads already at previous clubs and they have all said great things about Bolton. The first thing they all said was about the size of the club and how good the fanbase is, so I’m really excited.
I’ve played a lot of football at a young age and had some great experience, including in this division. I’m excited about coming here after two seasons in the league above. My aim is to be the best keeper in the league for the best team in the league. I can’t wait to meet all of the lads now and start day one of pre-season.

Also a nice set of training kits thrown into the imagery there.

Now this would be a bit of a statement if it goes through.brommers95 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:29 pmLatest on the Flick rumours:
Florian Flick is expected to switch from Schalke 04 to Bolton Wanderers. The fee should be around 600,000 + add-ons.

I know nothing about Baxter. I will defer to the experts. The injuries are a concern but it depends whether they are the typical ones young keepers get and they know settle down?

Sorry, not normal "young lad" injuries.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:53 pmSorry Ghosty, no they're not a concern or no they're not the sort young keepers get?
Two shoulder surgeries (Chelsea not convinced that's resolved), hand and then ankle surgery (no idea on the ankle as it was this season).
The lad is really talented, but he has issues and from watching hours of footage last week he seems to have adapted his game to try and compensate. Early on in his career he was very much a "smash through the bodies and claim it" keeper, he's now glued to his line. That may be because he was in pain prior to that ankle surgery, but if he's protecting himself more generally it'll come with issues.

Excellent signing if he stays out of the physio room.
