Hazarding a guess that the reason Brucie needs a stream is he's off galivanting around Europe with "work" and so can't get BBC or its website.

Proxy perhaps Bruce? Likely to be better quality on BBC website. Otherwise Firstrow is back up I think.

Cheers chaps. Prufrock's correct. The BBC site detects if you're outside the UK and won't even let a fellow watch highlights. I can get (a fairly decent) 5 Live signal on the hire car radio as a last resort.

Bit late now, but for next time install the zenmate extension for Chrome/Firefox. It will make the Beeb think you're in the UK if you select that as your location in the extension.

Am I right in thinking you can also set it to USA for programmes which may be streamed free o'er there? I had a similar extension to work around the UK block on Jon Stewart's Daily Show, but thankfully it's now back on over here...

Yes. It has UK, US, Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Speeds are good, though I have the occasional issue connecting - probably due to my connection rather than theirs.

The UK one? I can't watch it without punching the telly (the veg tosser). I watch the Aussie one which is far better despite it being a bit too lovey dovey.

Anyway, the Zen thing is also good for hiding anything you might be up to from your ISP
