Seems to genuinely like it here. There is a chance he could be our best ever "free". If he carries on like he is he certainly will be.

So you're saying Elmander is only playing well as he's trying to earn a new contract?Lord Kangana wrote:Alternatively, just like a certain Swede, we could be waiting 'til 2012/13 before we see his best again.
In essence dismissing the effect that injuries, confidence, Megson and Coyle have had on his performances.
Hmmm.

Who said owt about spending money?Lord Kangana wrote:As equally as you're dismssing spending lots of money on replacements for two full backs who failed only after the signing of their replacements.
Hmmm.
It is well known that the attitudes of Hunt and to a lesser but still significant extent JLS stink and Hunt went massively downhill after his new contract that Lee gave him, and became a massive problem at the club. So much so that Megson tried and failed to move him on, but Coyle managed it by paying him off.
Samuel despite several attempts is still lingering around.

No, you directly linked a new contract to the pair of them and their bad form. Neither of them was playing badly when they were deemed surplus, because their contracts were both negotiated in 2007. Anyone would think that the ginger shithouse was looking for yet another scapegoat for his pisspot management techniques by propogating such lies.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

You really have issues. I'd suggest a therapist. Though I suspect you might be beyond that.Lord Kangana wrote:No, you directly linked a new contract to the pair of them and their bad form. It was a real bad mistake to replace Hunt. He's apparently ripping up trees at a really good Bristol City side. I hear he's not even making the bench.

My argument was merely that Holden does not appear to have a shite attitude as opposed to previous players we've had in the past, and one we still can't get rid of.Lord Kangana wrote:Just taking you up on your own argument. If you don't like that, don't post bollox and people won't respond.
I don't see how any of your subsequent points were in any way relevant to that.

In relation to their new contracts signed in 2007? You're wriggling very well on this one, but neither of their bad attitudes surfaced 'til well after they had signed. Suggesting other reasons. Which kind of scream at you if you think about it.

Thats just misinformed. Samuel was ok to start with, he needed to be he was rebuilding his career. But his general attitude became complacent once he became a first team regular under Megson.Lord Kangana wrote:In relation to their new contracts signed in 2007? Hunt is an entirely different kettle of fish, signed a new deal given to him by Lee then acted like a complete arse from that point onwards. Caused Lee and Megson no end of grief and seemingly didn't improve for Coyle.
Whether either were directly related to new contracts or were just both "billy big bollocks" is irrelevant. My point was Holden does not come across in that way and hence with a bit of luck we'll be ok.
