Given the title of the thread, I'd argue he's not that underrated in all corners...

I'd agree DLH - he's getting generally great coverage in the press (well the ones that actually watch). He's probably less well known to supporters in general.

I have to compare him to Paul Scholes - tough tackling

Do you agree?
no. Scholes - tough tackling???

maybe if you replaced "tough tackling" with "cynical, dirty, late and knowingly mis-timed tackling that he somehow gets away with because commentators smile and say - ah well - poor old paul never could tackle - whereas if it were Kevin Davies - they'd accuse him of being the mad axe-murderer of belgravia"....
You also forget what shirt he's wearing Bish.

Doesn't matter to me.

He's our lad, and I'll support him

Unless it was Taylor who'd said that....

What difference does it make? I don't care who our lot support, makes no difference to me.

If only Taylor had ever been that good....
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

btw..how poor is Scotland's scouting when they decided not to give Holden a call.
He wasn't starting for the USA either, so can you blame them?

I'm sure as hell he's going to be starting now...
Problem is he still doesn't start. Bob Bradley won't bench his son, who isn't getting regular minutes with Villa currently. Holden & Maurice Edu from Rangers should be the two starting Center Mids for the USA but for some reason Coach Bradley can't fathom playing them.

Holden is like scholes in distributing the ball well and he's a better tackler than scholes.

Most players fit into that category. :D

Holden has become a key component in the success of this club this season. Hope he continues to improve.
