Goal Of The Decade
Hello, just signed up and thought i'd start with a post. With the year coming to an end and after a decade in the "Top League In The World", i was having a think about what my favourite goal has been since we've been back in the Prem. We have scored some crackers this year, like The Swede's Goal against Wolves. But any thoughts on what our best goals have been in the last 10 years?
Talking to my lad we couldnt decide whether a great individual goal like JayJay v West Ham in 03 is better than the emotion behind some goals like Big Kev's Goal in munich, or kev nolan sending leeds down.......

Campos long range blast against Spurs didn't exactly suck.

Re: Goal Of The Decade
Its going to be hard enough to choose a "goal of the season" this time let alone one of the decade.
We're scoring crackers every week.
Holdens yesterday, Mark Davies' against Blackpool, Petrov's against Blackpool, Elmanders' against Wolves, Holden's against Wolves, Robbie Blake against Brum, Elmander against West Ham (the header).
All great goals, how to choose?

I loved Elmander's finish against Wolves, although I could see hardly anything from the away stand!

Jay Jay v West Ham. The goal itself and all that it meant.
May the bridges I burn light your way

My favourite ever Bolton goal still has nothing to surpass it though.
Fabian Defreitas for the equaliser at Wembley.
Listening to it with the roadrunner commentary still gives me goosebumps!

Indeed, I meant the Jay Jay goal was the one of this decade, but even that won't better the DeFreitas goal at Wembley!Lord Kangana wrote:Thats goal of last decade, surely?

Jay Jay against Aston Villa. I can see/hear the goal, the celebration and commentary almost perfect in my mind.
Mind you Mark Davies against Blackpool is well and truly up there.
