Re: The Greatest Thing That We Posess
My brother and I have been saying "we'll be telling our Grandchildren about this" for the past 8 years or so of Wanderers football - I'm not sure how much more we can take. Cup finals? european nights? top 8 finishes? Pah, bring back playoff semi disappointments to Ipswich I say

So right though theBish, apart from the gratuitous Political slap but I'll let that go.
I have, in the past 8 months, many times looked at the guys around me and seen their faces as disbelieving as mine. It's just wrong.
I've put up with a lot from Bolton in the past 10 years which hasn't quite fitted. The bogs with bog-seats, toliet paper and working doors. Un-broken sinks with hot water and working air-driers and towels. They've even largely sorted out the car parking. These are all bad enough but when it starts to affect footballing matters it's getting serious.
OK, we've marvelled at Campo, Hierro, JJ, Youri, Strelios. But that's always been amidst the general tactical dross that Sam imposed, or Megson's soul destroying manner, or Lee's ineptness.
This, however, is wrong. Just wrong.
When I read of our financial woes a few weeks ago I breathed a deep, satisfied breath of familiar smog-like air. That was more like it.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Nice article. This was the sentiment I was expressing in the "bring me down a peg or two" thread. Totally un-BWFC like this spell under OC. We will have to worry about him leaving as well our finances to maintain the grumpability levels.

Indeed, a sobering read! There's always the feeling that things are going to go tits up soon (and I kinda like the risk

Re: The Greatest Thing That We Posess
Not having followed Bolton through most of the tough times (mercifully just caught the tail end of the Megson era), I can't say that I empathise fully but I did go through something very similar with the first football team I ever supported. There is just something about supporting a team through all the gloom and doom.

The bad times just make the happier ones all the more enjoyable.

Thanks Ratty. It's not so bad within the article proper but as a headline it makes us look, well, amateurish.

Actually, just noticed it still says 'posess' on the Home page. Could you..............?
