Wiggin
Two defeats on the trot to unfair decisions have left me with a sense of justified and passionate determination for this game.
Lets batter the pie-eating gits. COYWM!!!

Re: Wiggin
My prediction is 0-6.
6 penalties to Wigan, every one scored by Al Habsi as Wigan get special allowance to play him against us.
Davies, Cahill, Jussi and Petrov sent off in the first half.

Re: Wiggin
Well it's not a season changer, but it would be nice to turn the back to back defeats straight back around with a victory. I imagine we'll still be down to the bare bones and we'll have to suck it up a bit, but we have enough in the locker to stuff these. We do have to improve on last 3-4 performances though for me.

Re: Wiggin
If n'Zogbia and Al Habsi definitely can't play and Holden and Robinson back I think we can beat them but hey I have been wrong before.

So what are you saying exactly?Eire_Trotter wrote:No I am saying "If n'Zogbia and Al Habsi definitely can't play and Holden and Robinson back I think we can beat them but hey I have been wrong before."

Re: Wiggin
I am sure we will win this game, assuming Holden is back. We put a weakened and tired side out against a less tired Liverpool, and an away game to boot. While we might still be tired for this game Wiggan will be in the same boat, Robinson will be back and they are without Habsi and N'zogbia. I thought we were fine in the first half but the extra game played seemed to really show in the 2nd half.
Re: Wiggin
I think it's being highlighted how important Holden is to us right now, he's controlling and running our midfield.
Same goes for Robinson imho, he's in charge of that back four.
We should beat Wigan, and I truly hope we do because otherwise that'd be 3 losses on the bounce and even Mr Motivator Owen Coyle will have trouble picking the team up.
We've done amazingly, let's not get on a downward slide!

Re: Wiggin
I remember that shit run under Allardyce (was it 6 losses on the bounce ended by a draw with West Brom?). Its not the end of the world, as they say its not how far you fall but how high you bounce back. Didn't we end up 6th that year? I think we have a good team (when fit) thats capable of a top ten, maybe top eight finish.
It would of course be great to put Wigan to the sword. But everyone has bad patches, and this seems to be ours. Once the new manager and player of the month are announced, it'll end.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Its taken him over a year to get a job. Again. He's a slow learner, the exception that proves the rule.

Re: Wiggin
On performances we should beat Wigan easily, but we wont as our bubble has burst at present and we haven't played any good passing football for a few games now. Also, we rarely beat them at Bolton and remember it's a "cup final" for them so a draw is the most likely result.
Also, especially as our small squad will still be knackered, Holden still unavailable and we can't keep a clean sheet often enough so likely score is 2-2, but I dream of a 4-0 win to us.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

from t'BBC stream of the wiggin-toon game..
hmmm... wiggin not dealing with the long ball??No Andy Carroll, but the long-ball definitely works for the Magpies here. Wigan cannot deal with Steve Harper's clearance and, after Ali Al Habsi parries Joey Barton's diagonal drive, Peter Lovenkrands follows up by hitting the post before Shola Ameobi turns in the rebound.
