match worn shirt help!!

Post by rob_stu » Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:58 pm

Hi, I'm a Sheffield Wednesday shirt collector and am looking to add a match worn Bolton shirt to my collection.

On the 21st of September 93 we played you in the coca cola cup and due to a kit clash with the referee we had to wear your away shirt.

I'm after this shirt from the 93/94 season. From the picture I have in a programme it was a yellow/gold colour, made and sponsored by Reebok with a black collar

Any help would be much appreciated!!

All the best this season!!

Rob

93? Was it? Bloody hell. I remember the game well and remember your lot wearing our away kit. There are probably more of them in Sheffield than there are in Bolton, unless we asked for them back of course!
May the bridges I burn light your way

I would have thought Wednesday would have had to return them after the game, but you never know.
There is a website called oldfootballshirts where fans can upload images of there shirts to form an archive, there is a replica example on there, but no match worn

I will second that. I have been looking for any pre 95' match worn shirts for the last 5 years and so far nothing.

I have pretty extensive collection of tops including all home and away since 1988 and finding match worn has been near impossible. The match worn I have I have been given to me by players personally or I have spent big money on at charity do's. Most are 2001 onwards.

Why? To sniff Scott Green's sweaty pits?

Can anyone help? I'm thinking of starting a collection of worn-in-training socks and slightly-soiled match-worn jockstraps. If anyone has any hidden away in their attic would they please admit to it.

I could send you a variety of worn jocks in sealed plastic bags for a small fee + P&P.

Good for you.

We like to keep people occupied when they need a break from extended searches for worn 17 year old football shirts.

Fixed for you. 8)
