Showed a lot of promise in the early stages but never quite lived up to his billing. Probably only really talked about thanks to his name and how to pronounce it. Can't say i'm overly fussed that he's going. I'm more concerned about his lack of chances while he was here but that was, i'd imagine, mainly down to the fact that he didn't take his chances himself.

I bet he's grateful for finally getting paid a sum of money after his previous club and I can understand why he wanted to stay at the club on the pay packet he was on but at the end of the day i'm sure he will have hurt his future footballing positions.

I'm sure it's in the clubs best interest to get him out of the club. Like Harsanyi he's a man that made up the numbers.

Goodbye and good luck I suppose.

We've had worse players. Granted in terms of talent:hype ratio he wasn't great.

Clearly something happened behind the scenes with him and Coyle.

I'm picturing this:

Training session:

Riga: "Come on boss give me chance, I'm great me"
Coyle: "Ok son, get out there and show me what you can do"

10 minutes later:

Coyle:" Ok son, I've seen enough"
Riga: " Like me boss?"
Coyle: " No, you're shit - pack your bags".

Am I not right in saying that Riga and Klasnic was the dream strike force? Especially after their stuning display in that twatting at WHL?

Or was it Riga and that-other-bloke-who-I-can't-remember-but-couldn't-play-with-Elmander (because of their time together at PSV or somesuch)?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Smolarek?

Really don't know why they didn't play together more...probably stopped us getting into the Champions League...

if this is a sir Nut reference - I think he suggested that the dream strike force was Riga/Elmander - Megson was about to unleash it - but only when he bought the last piece of the jigsaw that would make it work - Veloso... until then he had to put up with KD while Riga bided his time... unfortunately we sacked megson before he could put his masterplan into action...

i may have remembered it wrong though...

Had a decentish short outing in his debut against West Brom - hit the bar with a good free-kick, looked relatively lively without achieving anything. I think that was where the hope came from.

Soon dispelled. Particularly after coming on as sub against Arsenal. Substituted not long after. Not sure he touched the ball.

Mind you, that was one of Megson's masterclasses in "Don't cross the halfway line". Seemed to be working, too, until they scored at the end.

Gah. I hate football.

He always struck me as being the natural successor to Andranik. I wonder who'll be the next one?
